9 - 8 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Caesar Baker! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
9 - 6 - 0, fighting out of London, Junior Nog! The judges for this bout are Dmitry Maklakov, Aleksei Zolotukhin and Vladimir Khabensky.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Baker moves in looking to clinch but Nog pushes him off. Baker scores with a decent looking hook.
It looks like Junior Nog has been cut. Nog doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body. Nog scores with a one two! Baker had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.
It looks like Caesar Baker has been cut. Baker instigates a clinch. Nog throws a head punch that misses. Baker misses with an elbow over the top. Baker has Nog pressed against the cage, preventing Nog from circling away and getting back to striking at range. Baker wants to break free but Nog has control.

We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Nog has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat. Baker looks to throw an elbow but misses. Nog misses with a punch to the body.
Baker lands a shoulder strike. Nog tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage. Nog lands with a short shot to the head. Baker breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Baker cracks a nice hook into Nog's ribs. Baker clinches. An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Nog. Nog keeps control of Baker as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks. Baker scores with an uppercut up the middle. Baker breaks the clinch.

With the two fighters working up against the cage, Baker just misses with a elbow thrown towards Nog's brow. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Nog is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.

Baker shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Nog but Nog pushes him off and we're back to square one. Nog gets a double leg takedown into Baker's guard. Baker knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Nog on the ground. Baker keeping full guard, as Nog tries to pass. Baker wants to get back to his feet but Nog is in a dominant position and won't allow it. Nog trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Nog stops Baker from standing up. Nog would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Nog postures up in Baker's guard and throws a big left but Baker blocks it. Nog throws a big right hand that misses. Nog drops back, looking for a kneebar! Baker looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Baker looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Baker! Nog striking from the bottom but nothing landed.
Nog struggling a bit here. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Nog tries to bench press Baker off him but Baker keeps the position. Nog is trying to control Baker's posture but Baker avoids it. Nog manages to get one leg in to regain half guard. Nog looking for submissions from an awkward position here.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Baker lands a nice short elbow. Nog is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Baker's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Baker's back! Baker trying to get back to his feet but Nog is in full control for now. Nog is working hard for the rear naked choke here.

Baker manages to squirm out of the attempted choke and turns into his opponent's guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Nog looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.

Caesar Baker dominated that round. Both fighters have cut men working on them during the interval. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

It's a sloppy attempt though and Nog jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Nog decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.
That's one minute gone in the round. Baker fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Nog on the side of the head. Nog gets a takedown into half guard. Nog slips a nice elbow through Baker's hands, connecting with Baker's forehead. Baker trying to control but Nog postures up.

Baker is trying to get back to his feet but Nog has full control of the position and if anything, Baker has just worked his way into a worse spot. Nog looking for the choke but no joy. Baker is trying to get back to his feet but he's not managed it yet.

He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Hendo with the counter takedown but Kabakov avoids it easily. Hendo has managed to clinch.

Kabakov is using his reach advantage well here, landing the more effective single shots from range. Kabakov lands with a slapping head kick. Fabian Kabakov is winning the standup battle so far. Kabakov gets caught napping as Hendo dives in and scores a takedown. Kabakov manages to retain guard. Kabakov keeping moving, preventing Hendo from controlling successfully. Kabakov working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Hendo doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Hendo manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Kabakov will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes. Kabakov has a butterfly guard looking to sweep but Hendo has passed into side control.

Hendo tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away. Hendo shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Kabakov's guard. The fighters are working up against the cage. Kabakov manages to wriggle his way back to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched against the cage. This has been an exciting period of action! Hendo on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.
