The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Blitz throws a head kick that half lands.
No joy there for Klinger, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Blitz tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Klinger manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Klinger throws a low kick, looking for Blitz's leg but Blitz calmly moves out of range.

Hughes throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.

Nice combo by Hughes! Oh, that's hurt him - Best falls to the canvas and Hughes follows him into side control.

We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Van Kossen wants to break free but Sivenfifty has control.
Sivenfifty throws a nice elbow but it doesn't land.
Sivenfifty tries to land a knee to the head but misses.
Van Kossen is looking to break free of the clinch but Sivenfifty has double underhooks.
Van Kossen tries a body shot but Sivenfifty blocks it.
Van Kossen can't find room to land a body shot as Sivenfifty controls the action.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Van Kossen is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Van Kossen rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Sivenfifty moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Good leg kick by Van Kossen there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.

Sivenfifty moves into the clinch successfully.
Van Kossen pushes Sivenfifty back against the cage and unloads with a body punch.

Van Kossen breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Van Kossen connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.

Sivenfifty jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Van Kossen walks away with a smile on his face. Sivenfifty gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Klaus Van Kossen is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Sivenfifty drives through and clinches with Van Kossen against the cage.
Sivenfifty has had enough of the clinch but Van Kossen keeps him there for the moment.
Van Kossen scores with a hook to the body.

Van Kossen breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

Sivenfifty escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Van Kossen throws a nice outside leg kick.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Van Kossen lands with a kick to the temple. Sivenfifty shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"

Sivenfifty closes the distance and pushes Van Kossen back into the cage.

Van Kossen breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Sivenfifty tries to close the distance and clinch up but Van Kossen swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Sivenfifty has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Sivenfifty there as he acknowledges the shot.

Sivenfifty is rocked!
A solid leg kick lands there for Van Kossen.
Oh Sivenfifty is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Van Kossen throws a quick inside leg kick.
Sivenfifty misses with a head kick.
Van Kossen lets it all go there with a big combo counter but none of the punches connected.
Sivenfifty doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
Van Kossen throws an overhand right that drops Sivenfifty like a sack of potatoes! Van Kossen dives in to finish the fight with more strikes and this one is all over!
