Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
11 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, I Suck! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
7 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Call Me! The judges for this bout are Robert Douchet, Steve Smith and Elvis Blanc.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Suck misses with a wild combination.
Me moves out of range of the body kick. Suck connects with a solid leg kick. A head kick from Suck lands but Me takes it in his stride. Suck moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination. Suck looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard. Me tries to roll over but Suck keeps him under control. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Suck is nestled in close to Me, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
Me is rocked! Suck lands a big elbow - Me is out of it! He's waving his arms around but his eyes are closed and he's not intelligently defending himself - the ref has no choice but to jump in and stop the fight! This one is in the books! A TKO win for Suck!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:18 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). I Suck! A relieved looking I Suck thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Thornton changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Patt Jr looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. Thornton grinds an elbow into Patt Jr's temple. Thornton lands a few punches from side control. Patt Jr tries to improve position but can't. Thornton scoring with punches and elbows. Thornton in side control lands a nice looking series of punches and elbows. Thornton working the head and body with strikes. Thornton lands some shots froms side control. This has been an exciting period of action! Patt Jr is looking for a sweep. Patt Jr takes a nasty elbow to the side of the head. Thornton is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Patt Jr is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. Patt Jr is positioning himself to get back to half guard. Patt Jr taking punishment in the form of punches.
Thornton in side control lands a nice looking series of punches and elbows. Thornton cracks Patt Jr with a big elbow. Thornton lands a big left to the face of Patt Jr, bouncing his head like a basketball. Another shot from Thornton and another - Patt Jr is out! Thornton stands up and salutes his fans, who are going crazy in the stands.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:18 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Keith Thornton! After the fight, Keith Thornton was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly. The defeated Anthony Patt Jr had this to say: 'Amazing fight to the veteran Byron Benjamin, great fighter and I wish him many more years. I can only get better So I will keep my head up. Thank you fans!'.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Camacho Jr swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Kimura has his takedown stuffed and Camacho Jr counters with a stiff right hand. Camacho Jr fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done. Camacho Jr throws a nice looking combination but Kimura bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Kimura dives in and grabs Camacho Jr's left leg, looking for a takedown. Camacho Jr pushes down on Kimura's head and hops out. Camacho Jr wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
That's one minute gone in the round. A jab from Camacho Jr finds it's way through Kimura's defenses. Kimura definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight. Camacho Jr lands with a right hand. Camacho Jr lands a jab to the head.

Camacho Jr fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Kimura looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath. A combination from Camacho Jr does no damage. Camacho Jr stuffs the takedown. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Masahiko Kimura. That's going to take a lot out of him.

A quick step to the side and Kimura tries to counter with a shot to the body but it doesn't connect. The fighters circle momentarily. Camacho Jr darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Camacho Jr fails to land with a series of punches.

Kimura was looking to counter that last move with a shot to the body but he didn't commit. Camacho Jr misses with a double jab.
Nice straight punches there by Camacho Jr. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Camacho Jr. Camacho Jr lands a right hook to the body.
Kimura tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Camacho Jr looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it.

Camacho Jr throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd. Camacho Jr tries to bum rush Kimura with a series of wild strikes but Kimura uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Kimura with a lazy takedown attempt and Camacho Jr counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Camacho Jr uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook. Camacho Jr swats away the attempt to clinch by Kimura. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Benedict Camacho Jr dominated that round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Kimura shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Camacho Jr pinned against the cage. Camacho Jr gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. This entire fight has taken place on the feet so far and you wonder whether Kimura might be better served trying to take this one to the ground because he's losing the standup battle so far. Camacho Jr comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range. The fighters circling - Camacho Jr throws out the jab but it was never going to land. Kimura attempts a counter takedown but Camacho Jr avoids it well and moves away. Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world. Kimura fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Kimura misses with a takedown enabling Camacho Jr to counter with a crisp jab.

That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Camacho Jr throws a shot from downtown. Kimura moves away and avoids it. A counter left hand to the body from Kimura misses its target. Camacho Jr swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Camacho Jr sizes up Kimura with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle. Nice uppercut lands for Camacho Jr. That snapped Kimura's head back.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Camacho Jr misses with an uppercut. Kimura saw that one coming. Kimura avoids a punch combination nicely.

Benedict Camacho Jr showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Kimura shoots in but Camacho Jr avoids the takedown attempt easily. Camacho Jr lets it all go there with a big combo counter but none of the punches connected. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Masahiko Kimura. That's going to take a lot out of him. Kimura shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Camacho Jr but Camacho Jr pushes him off and we're back to square one. Kimura has a takedown stuffed. Camacho Jr throws a counter combo. This is turning into a torrid day at the office for Kimura. He's trying desperately to land a takedown but he's failing miserably and getting slapped silly on the feet to compound his misery.

And that's the end of the fight! Benedict Camacho Jr comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Camacho Jr has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. Albabba must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Albabba throwing strikes but missing. Albabba trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Trua looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it. We've been hearing good reports from Trua's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Trua tries to stand and escape but Albabba is controlling the position. Albabba is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Trua not landing any meaningful shots this time. Trua seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.

That's three minutes gone in the round. If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup. Albabba is trying to control Trua's posture but Trua avoids it.
The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet. Albabba gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Trua finishes the little exchange by landing a big kick to the body. Albabba uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Trua. Albabba on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot. Albabba changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Trua tries to avoid it but Albabba manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Trua to the ground. Trua escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Shotgun Trua has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Khalid Albabba.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Trua displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Albabba. Trua swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Albabba tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away. Trua scoring well with a low kick there.
Albabba shoots and misses and Trua counters with a thumping low kick. Trua buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
A head kick by Trua - that's a beauty! Albabba is out but he's somehow still standing... he's going... going... gone. Like a drunk walking down the middle of the road, the inevitable face plant follows and the delayed knockout arrives. Even Trua can't help but laugh at the bizarre end to this one!

Rua sprawls well. Gabriel Rua seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Renner moves out of range of the strikes. Renner tried to counter with a leg kick but Rua avoided it. A cross from Rua lands. Rua tries to clinch up. It looked like Renner was trying to counter with a body shot coming off that last attack from Rua. Rua is looking to score with low kicks. Renner goes for a double leg but Rua avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Rua continues to drive forward. Rua has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout. Renner moves out of range of the leg kick from Rua. Renner drops down looking for a counter takedown but Rua sprawls and moves away. The fighters circling - Rua throws out the jab but it was never going to land. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Rua throws a mid kick that lands with a slap. Renner moves out of range of the leg kick from Rua. As Rua looks to move away, Renner throws a big counter combo bu Rua just gets out of the way. Rua fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Renner checks it well. Renner throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Rua was covering up waiting for the punch and Renner finishes the takedown easily into guard. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Rua preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.

Excellent takedown into side control there by Sandoval. Scott sneaks out the side door and pushes Sandoval away - he's back to his feet. The crowd show their appreciation for the escape. This has been an exciting period of action! Scott throws a hook to the side of Sandoval's head but Sandoval sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. Sandoval fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Scott to the ground. Sandoval is now in Scott's guard. Scott wants to stand and escape but Sandoval is having none of it. Scott is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Sandoval trying to control the position from guard on top but Scott is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
