1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Nika Venyamin! The judges for this bout are Dmitry Maklakov, Konstantin Menshow and Valeri Chadov.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Lang misses with the combination.
Venyamin throws a body punch but Lang moves out of range. Venyamin clinches up with Lang and pushes him back against the cage. With the fighters up against the cage, Venyamin throws an elbow but misses. Venyamin lands a hook to the body. It's hard to tell if that hurt Lang or not. Lang is looking to break free of the clinch but Venyamin has double underhooks. Venyamin comes over the top with an elbow. That landed flush.
It looks like Chen Lang has been cut. Lang has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate. Venyamin lands a left hand that snaps the head of Lang backwards. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Venyamin creates a bit of space for himself and sneaks an elbow through Lang's defenses. Venyamin lands a glancing elbow in the clinch.
Chen Lang's cut is bleeding quite badly. He's got to try and protect it. Lang tries to stall but Venyamin uses the opportunity to gain a better position.
Lang jumps guard but Venyamin turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing. Venyamin creates a bit of space for himself and sneaks an elbow through Lang's defenses.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! MacCumhaill throws a series of punches but Rowinski avoids them all with ease. As MacCumhaill backs off Rowinski throws a huge counter combo but MacCumhaill manages to avoid it all. Rowinski dives in and scores a takedown into MacCumhaill's guard. MacCumhaill has momentary wrist control but Rowinski slips an elbow through the middle. MacCumhaill knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Rowinski on the ground. Rowinski lands a couple of elbows. MacCumhaill is trying to hold Rowinski in close to prevent damage but Rowinski has managed to pass into half guard.
Rowinski drops an elbow to the side of MacCumhaill's head. MacCumhaill tries to roll over but Rowinski keeps him under control. Rowinski is nestled in close to MacCumhaill, controlling him well. MacCumhaill feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Rowinski sprawling to the canvas! Rowinski rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can MacCumhaill finish him?!
Rowinski is still looking wobbly from the end of the last round! MacCumhaill fails to land with a series of punches.
Rowinski throws a counter combo. Rowinski is still on wobbly legs! Can MacCumhaill finish him? MacCumhaill thuds a left hand into Rowinski's body. Fionn MacCumhaill is winning the standup battle so far. Rowinski forces MacCumhaill back against the cage and clinches. Rowinski prevents MacCumhaill from breaking the clinch. Rowinski seems to have recovered his senses. Rowinski breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Fionn MacCumhaill seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! MacCumhaill wobbles Rowinski with a right hand and the left hook that follows puts him on his rear! MacCumhaill dives in with a huge flying punch that connects right on the button and puts Rowinski to sleep! - What a violent and spectacular finish!

Andy Kane throws a sloppy head kick and AS Kane moves out of range easily. Andy Kane is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by AS Kane. Andy Kane goes for a spinning back kick but it misses. A head kick misses from Andy Kane. AS Kane ducks under a wild hook from Andy Kane. AS Kane goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo. AS Kane throws the left hand but Andy Kane avoids the punch easily. AS Kane moves out of range of the body kick from Andy Kane.

The crowd cheers as AS Kane lands an impressive looking overhand right. Andy Kane doesn't seem phased though. AS Kane throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. AS Kane cracks Andy Kane with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage. The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Sde pushes Hilal up against the cage in a clinch. The pace really dropping off here, momentarily. Hilal manages to break the clinch.
Sde swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Hilal shoots in for a takedown but Sde shows good takedown defense. Sde has taken the fight to the clinch.
Sde wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Hilal has him pressed against the cage. Hilal jumps into guard, dragging Sde to the mat.
Sde is looking to stand up but Hilal won't let him. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Sde controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling. Hilal looking for a guillotine here but Sde defends easily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Hilal keeping full guard, as Sde tries to pass. Hilal looking to hit a scissor sweep but Sde is one step ahead there. Sde has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Hilal is proving hard to escape from. Sde trying to control but Hilal is working from the bottom. We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Hilal seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.
The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet. Hilal fails to land the takedown. Sde shoots in looking for a takedown but Hilal manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Sde's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. Hilal tries to score a power double leg takedown but Sde sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Hilal somewhat. Lkf Sde has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Katar Hilal. Hilal shoots in looking for a takedown. Sde tries to sprawl out of it but Hilal keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Sde manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Sde tries to counter by clinching up but Hilal breaks away and moves out of range.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Sde wants to clinch up but Hilal keeps it at a distance. Sde shoots in looking for a takedown. Hilal tries to sprawl out of it but Sde keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Hilal manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Sde lands a nice looking body shot.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Hilal pulls guard. Sde won't allow Hilal to sweep him here. Hilal is working an open guard so Sde takes the opportunity to get back to his feet. Hilal slaps away a takedown attempt from Sde, before circling back to the center of the mat. And Hilal tries to counter it with a takedown but Sde pushes his down on his head and steps out. Sde throws a head kick that misses. Hilal closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Sde quickly recovers to half guard. Sde scrambles, trying to get to his feet, but Hilal manages to mount him!
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Hilal looking to control and managing it successfully. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Lkf Sde will probably get the nod. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!
Hilal feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Sde utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Sde controlling the position. Katar Hilal has got the better of the ground game so far. Sde being controlled here, momentarily. Hilal trying to control the position from guard on top but Sde is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Hilal postures up.

Hilal can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Sde is looking to escape. Hilal stands up from the dominant position. He obviously fancies his chances standing. Sde shoots in for a takedown but Hilal shows good takedown defense. Sde misses with a body shot.
Hilal is definitely looking for the counter takedowns here. Hilal instigates a clinch.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Hilal has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Sde uses from the top position. Hilal wriggles free and stands up. Sde will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Hilal keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.

Hilal bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. Sde bucks up and manages to escape back to his feet!
