Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Alexei Erschov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Percival Pacaldo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Percival Pacaldo told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

5 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Percival Pacaldo! The judges for this bout are Hirohito Nitta, Shirou Masuda and Shigeki Sano.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Pacaldo has taken the fight to the clinch.
Erschov could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. Pacaldo lands a takedown into guard.
Pacaldo with a nice head shot there. Pacaldo has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Erschov to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Pacaldo is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Erschov pulls down on the head and he's put Pacaldo to sleep! This one is all over!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Gingerson tries to check a leg kick but that clearly hurt him. Gene throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Gingerson counters with a nice double leg into side control. Gene won't be happy with that. Gingerson content to control the pace. The referee will try and keep them active though. Gene tries to bench press Gingerson off him but Gingerson keeps the position. You can see the frustration on Gene's face as Gingerson controls the position. Gingerson tries to get to his feet but he's trapped momentarily. Gene sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard. The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves. Gingerson controlling the action here. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Gene is refusing to be controlled, as Gingerson sits in half guard. Gene wants to get back to full guard but Gingerson has passed into side control.
That's one minute gone in the round. You can see the frustration on Gene's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Gene gets back to half guard. The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Gingerson lands a nice short elbow. Gene is looking to improve his position.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A combination from Farofa does no damage. Farofa fails to land with a series of punches.
Schwarzeneg with a lazy takedown attempt enabling Farofa to counter with a crisp jab. Schwarzeneg takes the fight into the clinch. Schwarzeneg jumps guard but Farofa turns him against the ropes and keeps the fight standing. Schwarzeneg tries a body shot but Farofa blocks it.

Farofa takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Farofa's corner calls for a 1, 2 combination and Farofa duly obliges. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Farofa tries to clinch there but Schwarzeneg circles away.

Schwarzeneg has hold of Farofa's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Farofa manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
A nice elbow there by Schwarzeneg. Carlos Farofa is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight. Farofa is not a happy chappy… he wants out of there.
And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Goran Schwarzeneg. Well Farofa has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Teddington throws a hook to the side of Duff's head but Duff sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. An attempted straight right counter from Duff misses the target. Duff stuns Teddington with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range. Teddington moves in looking to clinch but Duff pushes him off. Teddington waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Duff. Teddington is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Duff. Good exchange - Teddington coming out on top. Teddington clobbers Duff with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise. A lazy left from Duff finds it's target. Teddington moves in looking to clinch but Duff pushes him off. Teddington throws a looping overhand right but Duff ducks down to avoid it. Teddington shoots in for a takedown but Duff shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Teddington misses with a looping left. Teddington throws an off balance right hand

Duff stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush. Teddington might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable. Duff takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away. Brendan Duff is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Teddington throws a jab but it's blocked by Duff. Duff displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Teddington throws out the jab. Duff half committed to a counter leg kick. Teddington rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Teddington takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Duff cracks Teddington with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.

We've been hearing reports that Silva has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight. Beling tries to pull guard but Silva forces him back to his feet, against the ropes. Silva tries to circle away but Beling has him pinned against the ropes. Silva can't break the clinch.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Beling wants to take the fight to the mat but Silva manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch. He's just covering up now, not defending himself intelligently - Beling looks towards the ref and unloads with 3 more big shots and the ref has no choice but to stop the fight! Silva can't hide his disappointment, as Beling celebrates the victory.
