The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Wait on the wrong end of a nice jab. Hokichi definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight. Ouch! a nice leg kick from Hokichi, right into the meat.
Wait slips under a jab. Wait tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Hokichi manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Hokichi is looking to counter with a shot to the body. Hokichi walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Wait checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side. Hokichi lands a lovely overhand right. Hokichi is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Wait throws a shot from downtown. Hokichi moves away and avoids it. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Hokichi throws a head kick that looked like it stung.

Wait takes one to the chin there. Decent striking displayed by Hokichi there. Hokichi is really peppering his opponent's head with punches. Wait throws a jab but it's blocked by Hokichi.

Wait is rocked! Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Wait misses with a left hand and Hokichi counters with a low kick, right behind Wait 's knee. Wait is still on wobbly legs! Can Hokichi finish him? Hokichi cracks the inside of Wait's front leg. Wait seems to have recovered his senses.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Wait moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross. Hokichi lands a nice leg kick that just misses Wait's sensitive parts. Hokichi lands a jab to the nose. Good leg kick by Hokichi there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Hokichi is looking to slow Wait down with leg kicks. Hokichi throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd. Wait throws an overhand right that lands on Hokichi's shoulder, as Hokichi tries to avoid the shot. Wait on the wrong end of a nice hook. Hokichi fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Wait has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage. The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end. Good shot there by Hokichi. Hokichi scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Kano Hokichi dominated that round. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Hokichi lands a glancing blow to the side of Wait's head. Wait avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Wait stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Hokichi. Hokichi lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.
Hokichi tried to score with a low kick but Wait checks it. Wait throws out a counter right but Hokichi avoids it with no problem. Wait takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it. The fight stays on the outside here - Hokichi looks like he's thinking about clinching though. It seemed like Wait was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it. Hokichi throws out a leg kick but Wait moves out of range and Hokichi only half commits.

Wait turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Wait manages to end up in side control. Hokichi throws his opponent off and manages to get back to his feet! Nicely done!

Hokichi makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut. Wait is trying to break the clinch but Hokichi has him pressed against the cage. Hokichi is leaning against Wait and scores with a nice uppercut to the body. Hokichi breaks the clinch.

Hokichi stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush. Wait misses with a right hand and Hokichi makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick. Hokichi connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Wait momentarily.
Hokichi's jab looks to have found its range, popping Wait under the eye.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Hokichi throws a quick inside leg kick. Wait takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Hokichi listening to his corner there, landing a nice uppercut. Wait takes one to the chin there. Hokichi takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away. Hokichi staying out of range there. Wait takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Hokichi cracks Wait with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage. Nice uppercut lands for Hokichi. That snapped Wait's head back.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Wait walks into a stiff left hand from Hokichi. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Wait thows a left - swing and a miss! Hokichi tries to close the distance and clinch but Wait swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Hokichi fakes a jab and scores with a low kick. Hokichi connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there. Wait forces Hokichi back against the cage and clinches. Hokichi makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut. Wait effectively controlling the action here. Hokichi pushes Wait back against the cage and unloads with a body punch.
And that's the end of the fight! Kano Hokichi showed his dominance in that final round. Well Hokichi has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Gee is looking to regain half guard here but Stephens keeps moving and retains side control. Stephens tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Gee defends well and Stephens ends up having to push Gee into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch. Spunkly manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat. Myson wanted to stand there but Spunkly had control of the position. Myson controlling from the top position. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Spunkly avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Myson tries to reverse the position but Spunkly maintains control. Myson is writhing around trying to get back to his feet. Myson working to try and regain half guard.

The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Myson manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Piechocki works over Taylor's head and body with a nice combination. Taylor takes a jab right on the kisser.
Piechocki's coach down at Rape Academy (7 elite, 6 2x elite) was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Piechocki's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight. Taylor drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles. Horrible takedown attempt by Taylor or perhaps it was just good defense by Piechocki, which made it look bad. Taylor closes this distance looking for a takedown but Piechocki circles away. Piechocki misses with a double jab.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Taylor. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Sean Taylor. That's going to take a lot out of him. Taylor doesn't succeed with the takedown and Piechocki counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work. Taylor shoots in and gets a takedown into Piechocki's guard. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Taylor postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Taylor missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Taylor landing with the ground and pound. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. That's one minute gone in the round. Taylor loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Taylor connects with a couple of short punches. Piechocki really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Taylor. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Taylor throwing strikes from guard but Piechocki blocks nicely. Taylor throws a big elbow that misses. Piechocki utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Taylor throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Taylor keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Piechocki's head. Piechocki is trying to control the position but Taylor postures up. Taylor throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Piechocki works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Taylor with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal. Taylor's corner is telling him to maintain position. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Taylor accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Piechocki looks winded! Taylor controls the pace of the fight for a moment.

Taylor works over Piechocki with some ground and pound from guard. Taylor slips effortlessly into side control - very nice. Taylor has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Taylor has knee on belly and moves into mount. Taylor landing strikes, looking to finish! The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Piechocki takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position. Taylor with the ground and pound from mount.
Piechocki is rocked! Taylor takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. Piechocki is still in real trouble! Can Taylor finish him? Taylor lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Taylor cracks Piechocki with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
Oooooh, big shot lands for Taylor! Piechocki is hurt baaadly! Taylor is firing away with more strikes - Piechocki is covering up... the ref is warning him to do something. He's just covering up though still and the ref has to step in to end the fight! This one is all over!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! We've got one fighter who appears to only be looking to counter and the other not looking particularly aggressive either, so we could be in for a dull fight. Shaw gets a double leg takedown into Gotlib's guard. Gotlib uses the cage to get back to his feet.
Gotlib scores with a takedown into Shaw's guard. Shaw is breathing heavily. Gotlib trying to control but Shaw is working from the bottom. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Gotlib slips effortlessly into side control - very nice. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Gotlib decides to stand back up. Gotlib shoots in and gets a takedown into Shaw's guard. Gotlib working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Gotlib trying to control the position from guard on top but Shaw is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
That's one minute gone in the round. Gotlib is looking to work some ground and pound but Shaw has wrist control. Gotlib has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Gotlib wants to control from the top but Shaw keeps moving. Gotlib drops back looking for a leg! Shaw is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Shaw manages to kick Gotlib off! Gotlib jumps back into Shaw's guard. Shaw might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Shaw is working an open guard so Gotlib takes the opportunity to get back to his feet. Gotlib drives through with a takedown into guard. Gotlib thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Gotlib drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Gotlib jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Gotlib wants to control from the top but Shaw keeps moving. Gotlib drops back for a leg here. A bit of a high risk move... He's looking for a kneebar by the looks of things. Now both of them are looking for submissions. Gotlib seems to have locked his on tight now - Shaw screams in pain and taps out furiously! It certainly was a high risk move but it's paid off for Gotlib, as he picks up the win!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Funkhouser tries to score a power double leg takedown but McCarthy sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Funkhouser somewhat. Trenton Funkhouser seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. McCarthy keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Funkhouser sets himself, and McCarthy steps forward looking for the clinch! Funkhouser avoids it this time. McCarthy stuffs the takedown. Nice shot lands for McCarthy. McCarthy fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Funkhouser sprawls well initially but McCarthy persists and gets the takedown into half guard. McCarthy wants to control but Funkhouser is keeping him busy. McCarthy performing his best blanket impression for a moment. Funkhouser is working on a guillotine. He's managed to get to full guard and he's really squeezing tight! McCarthy is tapping! Great win for Funkhouser!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Ambrose throws a right hand that Tsuruta ducks under and follows up with a left that Tsuruta also avoids with ease. Tsuruta tests Ambrose's chin there with a solid looking shot.
It looks like Dean Ambrose has been cut. Ambrose fails with a takedown attempt. Decent striking displayed by Tsuruta there. Tsuruta lands with a nice body punch. Ambrose shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Ambrose rushes Tsuruta and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. Tsuruta's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not. Ambrose can't get the takedown.

With the fighters clinched against the cage, Tsuruta creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.

Dean Ambrose's cut is getting worse. Tsuruta makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut. Oh Ambrose is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Tsuruta gets a nice trip takedown into half guard. Tsuruta scores with a big shot! Ambrose's head bounced off the canvas with a huge thud! More strikes land and the referee has jumped in to save Ambrose! He was hurt real bad - good stoppage!

Bourdain is trying to control Nicu's posture but Nicu avoids it. Bourdain seems a little lost for a moment, as Nicu dominates the positioning. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Nicu decides to stand up, so the ref orders Bourdain to his feet. Bourdain on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those. Nicu keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.

Bourdain has tried to improve his agility in the runup to this fight. Bourdain wants to clinch up but Nicu keeps it at a distance. Nicu connects with a high kick. Bourdain will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.
Bourdain throws a leg kick that misses. Nice cross by Bourdain. Bourdain buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Nicu seems to be moving with more speed, compared to his last bout. He must have been working on that in the gym. A punch combination from Bourdain misses. Nicu tried to counter with a leg kick but Bourdain avoided it. A slapping leg kick lands for Nicu.
Nicu getting the better of the striking in that exchange. Nicu checks a leg kick nicely. Nice straight punches there by Nicu. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Nicu. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Bourdain looks to land a right hand but Nicu moved out of range. Bourdain moves into the clinch successfully.
Bourdain lands a body punch. Nicu tries to work over Bourdain's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Bourdain scores with a hook to the body. Nicu throws a punch but it's blocked by Bourdain. Bourdain is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Nicu to keep the fight standing. An uppercut to the body lands inside from Nicu. Nice body punch from Bourdain - that landed with a thud.
Nicu lands a body shot in the clinch.
Bourdain works on Nicu's body with a couple of short punches. Nicu tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Bourdain's elbow. Bourdain digs a right hand underneath Nicu's ribcage. Nicu let out a lung full of air as it connected. Bourdain blocks a body shot from Nicu. Bourdain can't find room to land a body shot as Nicu controls the action.
Nicu breaks the clinch.
Nicu connects with a leg kick. Bourdain looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it. Nicu takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.

Nicu throws a sloppy head kick and Bourdain holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch. Nicu pushes Bourdain back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Anthony Bourdain will probably get the nod. Both fighters have cut men working on them during the interval. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!
Nicu ducks down and throws a hook to the body. Bourdain moves out of range of the strikes. Bourdain appeared to try and counter that last move with a leg kick. Nicu lands with a kick to the temple. Bourdain shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?" Bourdain misses with a kick to the body and Nicu counters with a low kick, right behind Bourdain 's knee. Nicu uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Bourdain. Nicu throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
A countering left hand to the body from Bourdain misses. Nicu fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Bourdain. Bourdain throws out a token jab with nothing on it. Nicu swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect. Nicu misses with a hook to the body
and Bourdain counters with a stiff right hand. Nice uppercut lands for Bourdain. That snapped Nicu's head back.
Nicu moves away from the strike by Bourdain. Nicu circles away from the clinch attempt.
Bourdain doesn't manage to clinch there - Nicu circles away.
Ouch! a nice leg kick from Nicu, right into the meat.
Anthony Bourdain seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Bourdain crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Nicu - the referee stops the clock and Bourdain gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Nicu. Bourdain manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.
That's one minute gone in the round. Nicu lands with a slapping head kick. Nicu throws a push kick but Bourdain slaps the foot to one side. Nicu walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush. Nicu moves out of range of the strikes. Bourdain throws a leg kick but Nicu sees it coming and checks it nicely. Nicu scores with a leg kick.
Bourdain takes a swing at Nicu's ribcage but misses. Nicu fires out a quick counter leg kick but Bourdain just manages to avoid it. Bourdain throws a sloppy head kick and Nicu counters with an outside leg kick.
Iosue Nicu is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Bourdain on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those. Nicu throws a lazy right hand but Bourdain sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. Bourdain takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Iosue Nicu is winning the standup battle so far. Bourdain rushes Nicu and presses him up against the cage. Bourdain tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Nicu just stands there and leans against the cage. Nicu is trying to slow down the pace in the clinch, to catch his breath. A short left from Bourdain.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Nicu throws a head punch that misses. Nicu throws a punch but it's blocked by Bourdain. Nicu has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate. Nicu prevents a body shot from Bourdain. Bourdain lands with a right to the head. Bourdain misses with a hook to the ribs.
Bourdain escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Nicu connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Bourdain momentarily.
That has opened up Anthony Bourdain's cut even more. Bourdain takes a head kick and keeps coming.
A jab from Bourdain misses. Nicu quickly followed up with a counter body kick but doesn't connect. Bourdain misses with a leg kick and Nicu cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Nicu lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt. Nicu with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
Nicu uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Bourdain.
Bourdain thows a leg kick but Nicu checks it enabling Nicu to counter with a crisp jab. Nice body kick there by Bourdain. Bourdain tries to clinch up but Nicu circles away and keeps his distance.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Bourdain throws a big shot that misses. Bourdain tries a head kick but it misses.
Nicu avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Nicu looked to counter that last move with a leg kick but didn't pull the trigger. Bourdain rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Nicu counters with a nice leg kick. Nicu uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Bourdain. Bourdain throws a leg kick and Nicu counters with a lovely straight right hand! Ohhhhh! A huge head kick from Nicu! Bourdain is out on his feet! Nicu rushes in and throws more strikes. The ref is looking closely - Bourdain is covering up but the punishment is just too much and the ref steps in to stop the fight! Bourdain is staring into space, just thankful that the beatdown has ended. Brutal finish.
