The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cortega lands with a kick to the temple. Lundgren shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"
Cortega is looking to clinch but Lundgren is avoiding it.
Lundgren lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Lundgren.

As Cortega looks to move away, Lundgren throws a big counter combo but Cortega just gets out of the way.
Cortega shoots for a double leg takedown but Lundgren sprawls well. He's pushed Cortega's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

He's out cold! Bill gets to his feet, tossing aside his stricken foe. Arms raised, he milks the applause from the crowd. Great submission!

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Darren Lockyer.
