The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Donk. Ferreira catches Klandtman right on the button with a cross.
It looks like Jens Klandtman has been cut. Klandtman shoots in for a takedown but Ferreira shows good takedown defense. Horrible takedown attempt by Klandtman or perhaps it was just good defense by Ferreira, which made it look bad. Klandtman shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat. Klandtman has gone for a leg lock! Ferreira slips out almost immediately though and dives into Klandtman's guard. Klandtman avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Klandtman tries to land a sweep but no joy. Ferreira has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Ferreira working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Ferreira stays in close to Klandtman's body and controls the position. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Ferreira wants to control from the top but Klandtman keeps moving. Klandtman is trying to control the position from the bottom.

Ferreira working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Ferreira showing good wrestling skills to control the position. Ferreira looking to pass the guard. Klandtman looking for a sweep. Not yet Klandtman, not yet. Ferreira stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Klandtman swivels though and keeps the full guard. Klandtman looking to control.
Ferreira wants to control from the top but Klandtman keeps moving. Klandtman working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Ferreira. Ferreira is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Klandtman shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Ferreira counters with a head kick that drops Klandtman to the mat! Klandtman scrambles across the canvas and gets back to his feet, still wobbly!
Klandtman is rocked! Virgulino Ferreira has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jens Klandtman. Ferreira throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Klandtman is still on wobbly legs! Can Ferreira finish him? Ferreira loads up on a big right hand but Klandtman slips the punch. Klandtman will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Klandtman seems to have recovered his senses. Ferreira digs a good hook to Klandtman's body.
Ferreira scores with a jab. Klandtman acknowledges it with a nod of the head. Ferreira cracks Klandtman with a big right hand that sees him stumbling back against the cage! Klandtman falls to his knees and Ferreira doesn't need a second invitatation - he rushes in and fires off several unanswered shots that force the referee to stop the fight! This one is all over!

Richard Winters told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A combination from Winters does no damage. Gatmaitan seem to be loading up, looking for a big counter. Gatmaitan misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Winters.
Winters throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Gatmaitan on the side of the head. Gatmaitan steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Winters. Gatmaitan misses with a lunging right hand
and Winters counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Gatmaitan misses with a hook to the body
and Gatmaitan takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
It looks like Luna Gatmaitan has been cut. Gatmaitan tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Winters was well out of range. Poor timing from Gatmaitan. Gatmaitan swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. Gatmaitan misses with a hook. Winters ducked under it nicely. Gatmaitan has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him. Gatmaitan scores with a shot to the body.
Richard Winters seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Gatmaitan misses with the combination.

Gatmaitan wants to clinch up but Winters keeps it at a distance. Winters throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Winters looks to land a left hand but Gatmaitan moved out of range nicely. Gatmaitan slips a straight right by Winters. A looping hook to the body misses from Gatmaitan. Winters does a little dance to reset his feet. Winters connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Gatmaitan's hands. Gatmaitan throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Winters looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. A left and a right from Gatmaitan both land. Nice combination. Gatmaitan looks to score with a jab to the body but Winters is just out of range. Gatmaitan closes the distance and clinches. The fighters are starting to get sweaty, which will make takedowns a bit more tricky. Winters swings away with an uppercut that misses.

That was a close second round but I would say that Luna Gatmaitan will probably get the nod. Both fighters have cut men working on them during the interval. The corners get their ten second warning. Gatmaitan will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

That took the wind out of him momentarily. Winters throws a right and a left that Gatmaitan avoids nicely. Gatmaitan's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Winters connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Gatmaitan scrambles back to his feet. Winters throws a nice looking combination but Gatmaitan bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Winters misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Gatmaitan.

Gatmaitan moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross. Gatmaitan gets in close and instigates a clinch. The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end. Gatmaitan connects with a knee to the head.
A frustrated look appears on Winters's face as he tries to break the clinch. Winters wants to get back to striking at distance but Gatmaitan won't allow it.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Franklin tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Nukington paws at him with a jab and circles away. Nukington lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Franklin backs up against the cage.

As Nukington tries to get set, Franklin tries to push him back and clinch up but Nukington manages to avoid the attempt. Nukington throws a combination that misses and Franklin counters with a three punch combo that has Nukington backing up. Nukington nods at Franklin to acknowledge the strikes. Nukington will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Nukington works the jab nicely. Nukington connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Franklin momentarily.

It seemed like Brush was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it. Brush cracks Ihejirika with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Brush has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Ihejirika to stand back up! Oh Ihejirika is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Ihejirika leaves his chin hanging out and Brush seizes the opportunity with an uppercut! Ihejirika crumbles to the floor in a heap, and the referee steps in and tends to the downed fighter! What a knockout!

Good leg kick by Boychitch there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Bones shoots in for a takedown but Muhammad shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Bones shoots for a takedown but Muhammad saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Bones has his takedown stuffed and Muhammad counters with a stiff right hand. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Bobby Bones. That's going to take a lot out of him. Bones slips a straight right by Muhammad. Bones shoots in looking for a takedown but Muhammad manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Bones's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. Bones fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Bones darts in looking for a takedown but Muhammad gets double underhooks and turns Bones into the cage. Bones on the wrong end of a nice hook. Spilbergen tries to clinch but Braz is having none of it. No luck for Braz with that takedown attempt. Spilbergen wants to take advantage of his opponent's missed offense by moving into the clinch. We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Braz has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Braz shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Spilbergen as he jumps to the side. Braz misses with a shot to the body and Spilbergen counters with a nice uppercut.
That's one minute gone in the round. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Braz. Cornelis Spilbergen has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Shoei Braz. Braz has his takedown stuffed and Spilbergen counters with a stiff right hand. Braz shoots and misses and Spilbergen makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range. Braz throws a hook but Spilbergen avoids it easily. Braz changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Spilbergen tries to avoid it but Braz manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Spilbergen to the ground. Spilbergen escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. As Braz tries to get set, Spilbergen tries to push him back and clinch up but Braz manages to avoid the attempt.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Braz shoots and misses enabling Spilbergen to counter with a crisp jab. Spilbergen is looking light on his feet compared to last time was saw him fight. Braz goes for a double leg but Spilbergen avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Spilbergen continues to drive forward. Spilbergen tries to counter by clinching up but Braz breaks away and moves out of range. Cornelis Spilbergen is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Spilbergen is fighting off a takedown attempt but Braz is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Spilbergen to the mat. Spilbergen regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat. Braz stands and throws Spilbergen's legs to the side, diving into side control. Braz passes to full mount! That's big trouble for Spilbergen! Spilbergen is flailing around, obviously not happy about being mounted. Braz locks hold of one of his arms and spins for an armbar. He's got it! Spilbergen is forced to tap!
