The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A jab from Sunderland finds it's way through Ryno's defenses.
Sunderland throws a front kick that sends Ryno stumbling back into the ropes.
Ryno on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
Jab, cross, leg kick. Nice combination by Sunderland!
Ryno throws a head kick but Sunderland moves out of range.
A kick lands to the mid section there for Sunderland.
Ryno looks winded!
Sunderland feints and then cracks Ryno's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Ryno down.
Ryno's coach down at Amstadam MMA traning center was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Ryno's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.
Ryno steps to his left, right into the path of a big body kick from Sunderland. That one must have hurt.
Sunderland looks to land a combination. Ryno sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Doobie swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Jeez, both these guys look absolutely knackered already, that's not a good sign!

Doobie moves into range and clinches up with Chabada.
Doobie looking to throw knees to the head but Chabada is blocking nicely.
Chabada's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.

Chabada breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Doobie felt the need to train up his defensive grappling in the buildup to the fight. Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it.
