We've got one fighter who appears to only be looking to counter and the other not looking particularly aggressive either, so we could be in for a dull fight.
Heed tries to clinch but fails miserably
and King counters with a three punch combo that has Heed backing up. Heed nods at King to acknowledge the strikes.
Heed looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? King is fending him off so far but Heed persists. Nope, King circles away and we're back to standing.

Heed creates some space and throws a big elbow, but King sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.
Heed throwing ground and pound but whilst doing so, he forgets to control position and King works his way back to half guard. Good composure under pressure.

Heed looks to land a strike but King avoids it nicely and regains full guard.
Heed stands over his opponent and dives in with a flying punch! King throws up his legs and catches Heed in a triangle! Oh this looks tight! Heed tries to escape but he's forced to tap! Wow, fantastic work there by King! That came out of nowhere!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Noonan uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Myrene.
Noonan connects with a leg kick. Myrene looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.
Myrene tries for a takedown but Noonan circles away easily
and Noonan makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick.
Myrene shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Noonan napping and manages to drive through into side control!
Myrene throws a strike aimed at the side of Noonan's head but Noonan avoids it well.
Noonan tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Myrene wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
Noonan isn't going anywhere.

Noonan parries the strikes from Myrene easily there. Myrene is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Noonan to escape.

Noonan is looking for a sweep. Myrene is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

Myrene is fighting to break Noonan's control of his arms but Noonan is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.
