Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, John Schulz! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Daniel Castellaneta! The judges for this bout are Eddie Farnsworth, Steve Montenegro and Russell Pearce.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Castellaneta throws out a loose jab but Schulz uses good head movement to avoid it. Castellaneta closes the distance and clinches up with Schulz, looking for a takedown. Castellaneta pushes Schulz against the cage but Schulz circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Schulz misses with a double jab.
Schulz ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. Schulz blocks a jab. Schulz keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Castellaneta. Castellaneta throws a shot to the body.
Castellaneta displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Schulz throws out the jab. Schulz throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Castellaneta sees it coming and avoids it easily. Schulz avoids the body shot from Castellaneta.
A looping hook to the body misses from Schulz. Castellaneta does a little dance to reset his feet. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Castellaneta looks to land a right hand but Schulz moved out of range. Castellaneta shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Schulz as he avoids it easily. Schulz gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Castellaneta to score an easy takedown into full guard. Castellaneta looking to pass the guard.

Castellaneta drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Castellaneta jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Schulz has managed to work for a loose triangle. I think Castellaneta should be able to defend this one pretty easily though. Oh, Schulz has tightened it up now! Castellaneta should have reacted faster there - he's in big trouble and yes, he's tapped out! This one is all over!

4 - 8 - 0, fighting out of New York, Vinny Mashdein! The judges for this bout are Eddie Farnsworth, Dean Styles and Alyssa Summers.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Vermillion shoots in and bounces Mashdein off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. Mashdein preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Vermillion will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Vermillion stands up over Mashdein, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head. Mashdein really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Vermillion. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Mashdein looking for a sweep. Not yet Mashdein, not yet. Vermillion advances position into side control! Mashdein gets back to half guard. Mashdein tries to roll over but Vermillion keeps him under control. Vermillion sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Mashdein defending well though. Mashdein blocking the ground and pound attempt from Vermillion. Mashdein punching from the bottom.
Vermillion prevents Mashdein from improving his position. Mashdein keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. Mashdein throws a strike from the bottom that misses.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. Vermillion shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Mashdein tries to roll over but Vermillion keeps him under control.
That's one minute gone in the round. Mashdein is looking to get full guard. It looks like he might be successful but at the last minute Vermillion jumps into side control! Vermillion working away diligently from side control. Landing strikes effectively there - that will score him some points on the judges scorecards.
Mashdein is trying to get back to half guard. Vermillion trying to control the position but Mashdein is working away. Vermillion looks up at the clock and then as Mashdein takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Vermillion smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!
Vermillion has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Vermillion works to advance to full mount. Mashdein defends for a few seconds but eventually he succumbs. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Mashdein keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
Vermillion landing strikes from the mount and Mashdein is in trouble! Mashdein sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though. Mashdein looks gassed! Mashdein is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Vermillion's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Vermillion's back! Mashdein doesn't have the hooks in and Vermillion manages to turn into his guard.
Vermillion is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Mashdein wants to sweep here but Vermillion controlling him for the moment. Vermillion content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots. Vermillion advances position into side control! Vermillion passes to full mount! That's big trouble for Mashdein! Vermillion breaks from Mashdein's wrist control and lands an elbow. Vermillion content just to control the position here. Vermillion working for a submission here. He's tucked his head under his opponent's arm, looking for an arm triangle. He's hopped off into side control, looking to tighten the submission... is it going to work? He's given up a good position looking for it. Mashdein looks OK. Oh, I spoke too soon, he's out! That must have been tighter than I thought! Excellent work there by Vermillion! Submission of the night perhaps?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A punch lands to the side of Urdaalen 's head but he takes it in his stride. Carwin jabs away that one connects to the head of his opponent.
Carwin throws a series of punches but Urdaalen avoids them all with ease. Excellent takedown into side control there by Urdaalen. Carwin tries to wriggle free to get back to his feet but he's given up his back! Oops. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Carwin trying to get back to his feet but Urdaalen is in full control for now. Will Urdaalen go for the finish here or will he try and keep control of the position?

Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by Carwin. Carwin has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Urdaalen is proving hard to escape from.

Carwin looks gassed! Urdaalen working the head and body with strikes. The referee asks Urdaalen politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Urdaalen prefers to stall for the moment though. Carwin is trying to buck Urdaalen off. Urdaalen is putting a hurting on Carwin here, landing some big shots from side control. Urdaalen trying to control the position but Carwin is working away. Urdaalen tries to move to mount but Carwin blocks the move with his legs.

Carwin scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one. Urdaalen tries to score a power double leg takedown but Carwin sees that one coming and sprawls well. Urdaalen is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Carwin gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Orh Urdaalen. That's going to take a lot out of him. Carwin breaks the clinch.

Carwin moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination. Carwin jabs Urdaalen right on the nose. Urdaalen blinks but takes it well. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Carwin wants to clinch up but Urdaalen keeps it at a distance.
That's one minute gone in the round. Carwin takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away. Urdaalen has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Urdaalen there as he acknowledges the shot. Carwin lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.
Urdaalen is rocked! Carwin drops a shoulder and throws an uppercut that cracks Urdaalen right on the button. Urdaalen goes down! Carwin follows him to the mat and finishes the job with more strikes! Carwin gets the win via TKO!

Jr throws a right hand that Buzzard ducks under and follows up with a left that Buzzard also avoids with ease. Buzzard with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
Jr ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent. Jr works over Buzzard's head and body with a nice combination. Jr closes the distance and clinches up with Buzzard, looking for a takedown. Jr pushes Buzzard against the cage but Buzzard circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Jr misses with an uppercut. Buzzard moves out of range as Jr strikes. Buzzard cracks Jr with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage. Jr fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Buzzard manages to avoid it. Jr tries to clinch up but Buzzard circles away and keeps his distance. Buzzard slips a jab and a cross from Jr.

Jr wants to clinch but Buzzard slips to the side and Buzzard counters with a straight punch to the midsection. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! A left and a right from Jr both land. Nice combination.

We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. Jr lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Buzzard! The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Jr working for a submission but Buzzard is keeping him at bay. Buzzard working to try and regain half guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Jr lands a nice shot to the head. Jr is landing with some decent strikes but Buzzard is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Jr working for a guillotine from mount but Buzzard is in no mood to give up. Buzzard taking shots to the head. Jr is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Buzzard can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.
Buzzard is looking to improve his position but Jr isn't that keen on the idea. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Jr working to secure an arm triangle but it's not happening for him just yet. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Jr tries to bum rush Buzzard with a series of wild strikes but Buzzard uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Jr fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Buzzard manages to avoid it. Jr swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Buzzard. It really doesn't seem like the step up in weight is hurting Jr here at all. He's more than holding his own against the bigger man. Jr tries to grapple but his opponent circles and Jr takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Jr lands a two punch combo.
Jr wants to clinch but Buzzard slips to the side and Buzzard counters with a one-two to the body. Jr is looking to wear down Buzzard with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment. Jr throws out a token jab with nothing on it. Jr falls off balance throwing a combination
and Buzzard counters with a right hand to the body.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Jr tries to clinch up and Buzzard counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Buzzard. Jr tries to score a body lock takedown but Buzzard shows good agility there to stay on his feet. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Ajax Jr. That's going to take a lot out of him. Buzzard misses with an elbow over the top. With the fighters up against the cage, Buzzard throws an elbow but misses. Buzzard lands a right hand that snaps the head of Jr backwards. Jr has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate. Buzzard throws a nice elbow but it doesn't land.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Parker smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button. A jab from Parker does it's job there. A nice inside leg kick there by Arealius. That's going to slow Parker down. Parker closes the distance and lands a one-two. Arealius throws a shot to the body.
Arealius connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son. Arealius throws a hook but Parker blocks it. Parker fails to land the takedown. Arealius throws a right and a left that both miss. Parker ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. Arealius tries to clinch but Parker moves out of range. Arealius connects with a solid leg kick. Arealius is looking to score with low kicks. Nice defenses there by Arealius. Arealius wants to clinch. Arealius slips under a jab from Parker.

Arealius is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Arealius manages to kick Parker off! Parker jumps back into Arealius's guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Parker loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Arealius preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Parker wants to pass the guard but Arealius is keeping the position. Arealius is trying to control the position from the bottom.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. Arealius tries to clinch and Parker counters with a left and a right that stings Arealius. Parker uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Arealius.
Arealius looks to clinch and Parker counters with a single leg into guard. Arealius didn't expect that. Arealius has momentary wrist control but Parker slips an elbow through the middle. Parker wants to pass the guard but Arealius is keeping the position. Parker cracks Arealius with a solid left hand. Parker trying to control but Arealius is working from the bottom. Arealius trying to keep a closed guard but Parker is proving a slippery customer.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Arealius wants to clinch but Parker slips to the side and Parker counters with a takedown into side control. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Arealius is not content to let Parker control the position. Parker lands a nice forearm strike. Parker landing strikes. Parker misses with an attempted head punch from side control. Parker working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it. Arealius stops Parker from passing to mount. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Arealius is trying to improve his position. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Kelvin Parker dominated that round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
A low kick from Arealius is predictable there and Parker counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Arealius's guard now. Parker trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Parker content to stall in guard here. Arealius manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
Parker is desperately trying to improve his position but Arealius has a good base and remains in mount. The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Arealius cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!

Arealius lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning. Arealius connects with a couple of good shots from mount.
Arealius avoids the attempt from Parker to control. The referee warns Parker that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Arealius escapes and gets back to his feet. Arealius slips under a jab from Parker. Arealius throws out a leg kick but Parker moves out of range and Arealius only half commits. Arealius wants to clinch but Parker slips to the side and Parker counters with a stiff right hand. Anthony Arealius is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Parker throws a nice looking combination but Arealius bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Arealius throws a combination that misses and Parker counters with a nice double leg into side control. Arealius won't be happy with that. Arealius regains half guard, as Parker was trying to land strikes. Arealius moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Parker preventing the sweep. That's three minutes gone in the round. Arealius looking for a sweep. Not yet Arealius, not yet. Parker slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard. Parker throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Parker has gone for a leg lock! Arealius slips out almost immediately though and dives into Parker's guard. Parker trying to strike from the bottom but really, it's not the best position to be doing that from! Arealius tries to free his leg and advance position but Parker is retaining full guard. Parker tries to land a sweep but no joy. Parker looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.

Arealius wants to lay and pray for a moment but Parker keeps working. Parker is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Arealius's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Arealius's back! Arealius trying to control the position but Parker manages to sink in the hooks. Arealius turns into Parker and is now in his guard.

A close second round but Kelvin Parker will probably get the nod - 10:9. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Arealius tries to clinch up and Parker counters with a nice body shot. Arealius misses with a combination
and Parker counters with a straight right hand. Arealius clinches but Parker breaks the clinch and Parker counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Arealius is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Parker. Parker throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Arealius clinches but Parker breaks the clinch and Parker counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Arealius utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Parker trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Parker has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Parker drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Arealius manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Parker has Arealius in his guard. Parker takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Parker can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Arealius controls the pace. And that's the end of the fight! Kelvin Parker comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Parker has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. Miller blocks a jab. Miller tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Cookie swats away the attempt to clinch by Miller. Miller ducks under a wild hook from Cookie. Miller throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Cookie stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly. Cookie avoids the head kick by Miller.
Miller is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Miller is looking to clinch but Cookie is avoiding it.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Krunov fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Tyler, pushing him back against the cage. Krunov controlling the action here for a moment.
