The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Ma Shaung swings widly with a right hand
and Szczesny counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. Ma Shaung lands a body shot.
Ma Shaung tries to bum rush Szczesny with a series of wild strikes but Szczesny uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Ma Shaung fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but Szczesny is out of range. It looked like Szczesny wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit. Ma Shaung fails in his attempt to clinch. An attempted straight right counter from Szczesny misses the target. Ma Shaung wants to clinch and Szczesny counters with a lovely straight right hand! Lesnar throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Lesnar has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout. The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A big left from Estrada misses. Chinyengetere definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight. Chinyengetere tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Estrada manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Chinyengetere closes the distance and clinches. Estrada tries a body shot but Chinyengetere blocks it.

It looks like Jonathan Estrada has been cut. Chinyengetere lands an elbow inside. Estrada lands a hook to the side of the head. Estrada tries to break the clinch but Chinyengetere is controlling the position. Estrada takes an elbow to the temple. Chinyengetere landing knees to the body. They look like they could hurt.
Chinyengetere crunches a lovely knee into Estrada's ribcage. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Chinyengetere's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button! Chinyengetere with a knee to the head.

Estrada is still on wobbly legs! Can Chinyengetere finish him? A head punch on the inside from Estrada fails to land. Estrada seems to have recovered his senses. Estrada's coach down at The Hut - $50 was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Estrada's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight. Nice elbow from Chinyengetere. Chinyengetere lands an elbow that stopped Estrada in his tracks for a moment. Some stalling of biblical proportions here from Chinyengetere. Chinyengetere cracks Estrada on the chin with a massive knee! He's been separated from consciousness before he even hits the floor! Absolutely fantastic knee and a brutal finish!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:57 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Knee). Victor Chinyengetere! Victor Chinyengetere was full of energy after the big win and talked about how he thinks he can do big things in this sport. The crowd were appreciative of his determination to succeed.

We've got one fighter who appears to only be looking to counter and the other not looking particularly aggressive either, so we could be in for a dull fight. Vertebral's coach down at was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Vertebral's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.
