The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dust uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Uxxarest.
Dust throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Uxxarest takes a head kick and shrugs it off.
Uxxarest will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.
Dust throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Uxxarest with a body punch. A glancing blow.
Dust works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.
Uxxarest just misses with a punch to the body.
Uxxarest has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Dust finds it's way round the side to connect with Uxxarest's head.

Uxxarest throws a low kick but it's checked well by Dust.
Uxxarest lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Uxxarest misses with a hook.
Uxxarest throws a low kick but Dust moves out of range easily.
Dust changes levels looking for a counter takedown but doesn't commit.

Dust gets tackled into the cage by Uxxarest. Uxxarest maintains the clinch.

We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

Dust has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Uxxarest is working away from the top position though.
Dust is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Uxxarest wants to pass the guard but Dust is defending well.
Uxxarest throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
Dust wants to control but Uxxarest is keeping busy.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Uxxarest lands a nice short elbow.
Uxxarest tries to pass the half guard into mount. Dust knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.

Dust is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Uxxarest scores with a couple of nice shots.
Uxxarest lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.

Uxxarest passes into side control, despite Dust's attempt to control the position.
Uxxarest creates a bit of distance and throws down some hard shots.
Dust avoids any damage from the ground and pound of Uxxarest.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.

Uxxarest lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.

Dust working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Uxxarest doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Uxxarest manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Herman Mudgett (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Orkan Dogu (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

It looks like Orkan Dogu has been cut.
Mudgett works the jab nicely.
Nice body punch from Dogu.
Thud! ouch! good body kick from Mudgett - that will leave a mark!

Dogu rushes Mudgett and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Mudgett wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.
Mudgett has had enough of the clinch but Dogu keeps him there for the moment.
Dogu keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Mudgett's efforts to push away.
Mudgett is trying to break free.
Mudgett looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.
Dogu swings wildly with an uppercut but Mudgett uses good head movement to avoid it.

Dogu lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Mudgett backwards.
Dogu tries to work over Mudgett's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.

Mudgett escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Mudgett pushes Dogu off and gets back to his feet.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Dogu lands an uppercut out of nowhere! Mudgett falls backwards - clearly groggy! Dogu dives in and finishes the fight with more strikes for a TKO finish!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:10 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Orkan Dogu!
A relieved looking Orkan Dogu thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
