Asano Kana had real problems making weight for this fight. After initially coming in at 171.6lbs, he had two hours to make the official fight weight. He made it but it will have taken a lot out of him to cut those extra few pounds. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Kana gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Weber Meek is looking to control Kana's arms but Kana gets an underhook and turns him. Now Weber Meek has his back to the cage.
Kana lands a knee to the head there! That was nasty!
Kana throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Weber Meek blocks it with crossed arms.

Weber Meek creates a bit of distance and throws an elbow that only just misses.

The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Kana checks a leg kick.
The fighters circle, before Kana throws a beautiful high kick that crashes into Weber Meek's neck, sending him stumbling to the floor! Kana lands more strikes and forces a referee stoppage! That one ended in an instant!

Gracie cracks Almeida with a big right hand and Almeida goes down!
Gracie trying to control the position from guard on top but Almeida is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Gracie is looking to work some ground and pound but Almeida has wrist control.
A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Almeida holds on and takes a little breather.

Almeida really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Gracie. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Almeida is real pain and he's forced to tap out! Almeida is disgusted with himself for not defending it better but Gracie couldn't care less - he's delighted!

Hogg dips a shoulder and cracks Moraes with a mighty uppercut! Moraes falls back against the cage and Hogg unloads with a barrage of strikes! Moraes is completely out with his eyes open, only supported by the cage! Save him ref! Eventually the ref decides to do his job and jumps in - Hogg screams abuse at the incompetent official before going over to celebrate with his corner. Brutal stuff!

Steamboat shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Mouse as he avoids it easily.
Mouse is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Steamboat.
Steamboat fails with a takedown attempt.
Mouse fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Steamboat on the side of the head.
Steamboat fails to land the takedown.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Ricky Steamboat. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Mouse throws a shot to the body.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Steamboat tries to score a power double leg takedown but Mouse sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Steamboat somewhat.
Mouse looks like he wants to counter punch here.

That's one minute gone in the round.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Steamboat.
Steamboat dives in for a single leg takedown but Mouse sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.
Mouse let fly with a counter punch to the body but it didn't land.

Mouse gets caught flat footed, as Steamboat shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Mouse can do anything to dispel that myth.

Mouse is in a horrible position here. Steamboat smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.
Steamboat breaks from Mouse's wrist control and lands an elbow.

Mouse is rocked!
Steamboat connects with a bit shot that sees Mouse covering up! More strikes from Steamboat and the referee jumps in to stop the fight! Steamboat is our winner by TKO!
