0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Tito Ortiz! The judges for this bout are Aleksei Zolotukhin, Sergei Dronov and Vladimir Khabensky.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Arshavin throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Ortiz's waist but Ortiz gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Arshavin off to one side. Arshavin scores with a body shot.
Arshavin tries to clinch but Ortiz moves out of range. Arshavin gets caught flat footed, as Ortiz shoots in with a quick takedown into guard. Arshavin wants to get back to his feet but Ortiz passes into half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Well, if Ortiz is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.

Ortiz got a little sloppy there for a moment and Arshavin has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Ortiz has managed to get both his arms back between Arshavin's legs - danger averted. Arshavin looking for submissions from the bottom but instead Ortiz passes into half guard.

Ortiz seems to have lost interest with the ground game and is thinking about standing back up.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity. Arshavin throws a sloppy head kick and Ortiz moves out of range easily. Ortiz throws a counter combo. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Arshavin wriggles free and stands up. This has been an exciting period of action! Ortiz bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. Ortiz stands up and we're back to a striking position. Ortiz moves out of range of the body kick from Arshavin.
Arshavin lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range. Arshavin throws a series of punches but Ortiz avoids them all with ease. Ortiz shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard. Arshavin kicks Ortiz off and gets back to his feet.

And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Zlatan Arshavin. I think Ortiz has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

Mallox takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Labamba tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Mallox has done a lot of speed work in the buildup to this fight. Labamba fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done. Mallox gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here. Mallox pushes off an throws an elbow but Labamba leans to the side and avoids it. We're back to clinching against the cage. Labamba pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Labamba connects with an inside leg kick. Labamba throws a front kick aimed at Mallox's knee but Mallox avoids it well. Labamba throws a low kick, looking for Mallox's leg but Mallox calmly moves out of range. Mallox steps in looking to clinch after the strikes miss from Labamba. Mallox takes a kick to the side of the head. Mallox displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Labamba throws out the jab. Labamba tries to break free but Mallox pushes him back against the cage. Labamba pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Mallox jabs. That one connects to the head of his opponent.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Mallox tries to clinch but Labamba moves out of range. Mallox closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. Mallox misses with an elbow over the top. Labamba avoids a wild elbow strike from Mallox. Labamba wants to get back to striking at distance but Mallox won't allow it.
Mallox lands a nice elbow. Labamba blocks an elbow strike. Mallox escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Jake Labamba is winning the standup battle so far. Labamba connects with a high kick. Labamba takes one to the side of the head.
Labamba buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Mallox drops Labamba with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Labamba looks back up at him and smiles so Mallox waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Mallox blocks a jab. Oh Labamba is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Mallox cracks Labamba with a hook to the temple - Labamba is on wobbly legs here! Mallox swarms him with hook after hook, landing with each one! Labamba falls to the canvas face first and the referee dives in to stop the fight! Mallox wins by TKO!

Scott Mallox decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.

2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Adlet Mayer! The judges for this bout are Konstantin Menshow, Illya Tyunina and Aleksandr Martynov.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Mayer tries for a takedown but Ugi circles away easily and Ugi cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Ugi fails with the takedown and Mayer counters with a takedown into side control! That could mean trouble for Ugi! Ugi throws Mayer to one side and escapes! Mayer fails with the takedown and Ugi counters with a thumping low kick. Mayer tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Ugi swivels and escapes. Ugi Ugi has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Adlet Mayer. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Ugi lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt. Ugi shoots in and drives through. Mayer sprawls well. Ugi shoots in for a double leg but Mayer sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. No luck for Ugi with that takedown attempt.
That's one minute gone in the round. Mayer takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
Ugi shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Ugi misses with a double jab
so Mayer counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. Ugi is breathing heavily. Mayer scoring with some ground and pound. Mayer working some strikes from top position. Mayer really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Ugi. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Mayer is in close to Ugi's body, working some short punches and elbows. Ugi is looking for a triangle but Mayer pushes his legs off easily.
Mayer must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Mayer is working Ugi over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Mayer cracks Ugi with a solid left hand. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Mayer forces his way into half guard. Mayer is nestled in close to Ugi, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure. Ugi on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound. Mayer winds up and cracks Ugi with a swinging punch to the side of the head. Mayer working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that. Nice strikes from Mayer there. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Mayer is trying to control the action in half guard but Ugi is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. Mayer lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt. Mayer is looking for a kimura but Ugi is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Mayer to get the leverage. Mayer prevents Ugi from improving his position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Mayer takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists. Mayer looks to score some points with some ground and pound. Mayer is pressing down on Ugi's thigh, looking to free his foot. Ugi is holding on for now. Mayer seems to be working for a kimura but Ugi defends the submission attempt. Mayer is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there. Ugi trying to control here.
We've been informed that Mayer has been working hard on his conditioning in the buildup to the fight. Mayer is looking to advance position but Ugi won't allow it.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Mayer is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound. Ground and pound from Mayer. Mayer is trying to control the action in half guard but Ugi is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. Ugi on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound. Mayer working the head and body with strikes. Ugi throws a strike from the bottom but Mayer passes into side control!
Ugi wants to get back to his feet but Mayer drags him back down. Mayer moving around in side mount but really he's just happy to control for now. Mayer lands a knee to the body and a forearm to the face. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Adlet Mayer dominated that round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Mayer drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. Mayer is working Ugi over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes. Ugi throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Mayer escapes and throws Ugi's legs to the side, diving into side control! Ugi is trying to improve his position. Mayer creates a bit of distance and throws down some hard shots. Mayer grinds an elbow into Ugi's temple. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Mayer lands a nice forearm strike. Adlet Mayer has got the better of the ground game so far. Ugi gets back to half guard. Mayer lands strikes from half guard. Ugi is not content to let Mayer control the position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Mayer looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Ugi with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position. Mayer prevents Ugi from improving his position. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Mayer connects with a nice short shot to Ugi's temple. Mayer working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that. Ugi tries to roll over but Mayer keeps him under control. Mayer has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Ugi punching from the bottom.
Mayer wants to free his trapped foot but Ugi is holding on for dear life with his legs. Mayer slips a nice elbow through Ugi's hands, connecting with Ugi's forehead. Mayer looks to score some points with some ground and pound.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Mayer trying to control the action but Ugi is working from the bottom. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Mayer working Ugi over with strikes. Mayer scoring with strikes to the body and head. Ugi is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Mayer scores with a couple of nice shots.

Oh Ugi is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!! Mayer drops an elbow to the side of Ugi's head. Mayer lands a massive shot from half guard that has rocked Ugi! More strikes land and this one is all over! Mayer jumps to his feet and is applauded loudly by the crowd!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Alenitchev connects with a body shot. Kenway drives through and clinches with Alenitchev against the cage.

Kenway is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Alenitchev gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt. Alenitchev has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate. Alenitchev lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards. Alenitchev digs a right hand into Kenway's ribs. Those have got to be taking their toll on Kenway's gas tank. Alenitchev lands a right hand. Alenitchev wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.

Kenway looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Alenitchev trying to stand up but can't free himself from Kenway's guard. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. Kenway trying to control the position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Alenitchev wanted to stand there but Kenway had control of the position. Alenitchev is using up a lot of energy trying to get back to his feet. Perhaps he should improve his position first. Kenway pulls Alenitchev in close to prevent any damage. Kenway looking to control.
The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Kenway tries to clinch and Alenitchev counters with a straight right hand. Kenway listening to his corner there, landing a nice uppercut. Kenway cracks Alenitchev with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business. Alenitchev's coach down at Bobby B's Gem was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Alenitchev's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight. Kenway takes one to the chin there.
Kenway is rocked! Alenitchev shakes his hands by his side, trying to relax. Kenway takes his eyes off the ball for a moment - Alenitchev sees the opportunity and cracks him with a massive hook! Kenway bends double and collapses on top of himself - he's out! The crowd are going absolutely nuts! Wow, what a knockout!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Markov closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. Baratheon can't do much from the bottom here. Baratheon knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Markov on the ground. Markov is in a dominant position here, looking for a kimura. Baratheon looks calm but he's in trouble here. Markov gets his leg over his opponent's head and yanks on the arm. Baratheon is tapping like a morse code operator on the titanic! SOS! SOS! Markov lets go of the hold and Baratheon can pop his arm back in it's socket.
