1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Dominick Snooze! The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Frank Dennis and Stewart Dunkirk.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Snooze wants to land a leg kick but Built is out of range. Snooze misses with a hook. Built ducked under it nicely. Snooze loads up on a big right hand but Built slips the punch. Built throws a nice inside leg kick. Built lands a right hook to the body.
Snooze instigates a clinch. Snooze has clasped his hands together around Built's back... aaand, he's got a takedown into side control. Nicely done. Built tries to strike but it doesn't land. Built has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Snooze working away. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Snooze taking a breather here. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

No, Snooze has managed to get both his arms back between Built's legs - danger averted. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Built looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. Built trying to remain calm as Snooze controls from the top position. Snooze's coach down at Westside Martial Arts was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Snooze's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight. Come on Snooze - let's have some action - none of this stalling nonsense.

Nice connects with a high kick. Nice throws a big shot that misses. Nice shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Franklin napping and manages to drive through into side control! The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Nice looks winded! Franklin tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Nice wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. Franklin is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard. Franklin is working on a guillotine. He's managed to get to full guard and he's really squeezing tight! Nice is tapping! Great win for Franklin!

I think Pehmytkudos might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Culture Club - Do You Really Want To Hurt Me . The crowd seem to be enjoying McFadden's choice of entrance music: Sevendust - Enemy. Both fighters will be looking to make this an exciting fight for the fans, I'm sure!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Nice sprawl there from Lee as Schmeiser shoots in. Lee throws a lazy right hand but Schmeiser sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. Lee throws a body kick that digs right into the meat. Schmeiser goes for a double leg but Lee avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Lee continues to drive forward. Horrible takedown attempt by Schmeiser or perhaps it was just good defense by Lee, which made it look bad. As Schmeiser backs away, Lee returns fire with a leg kick that just misses. Liam Lee has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Percy Schmeiser. Lee goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo. Lee keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Lee is looking to counter with head kicks. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Schmeiser takes a head kick and keeps coming.

In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw Schmeiser working his ground and pound in the gym. He isn't landing a great percentage of his ground strikes so far though. Schmeiser trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Schmeiser lands a couple of elbows. Lee controls Schmeiser momentarily but Schmeiser frees himself. Schmeiser pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Lee is keeping the position for now. Schmeiser is thwarting Lee's attempts to control the position. Schmeiser seems to be working for a kimura but Lee defends the submission attempt. Lee is looking for a sweep. Schmeiser is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

and Lee counters with a stiff right hand. Lee connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there. Liam Lee is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Schmeiser tries to score a power double leg takedown but Lee sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Schmeiser somewhat. Good leg kick by Lee there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Schmeiser shoots in and drives through. Lee sprawls well. Lee feinted there with a counter leg kick. Schmeiser fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Schmeiser tries to check a leg kick but that clearly hurt him.

Lee dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Schmeiser. That did some damage! The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Lee checks a leg kick. Lee looked to counter that last move with a leg kick but didn't pull the trigger. Schmeiser misses with a takedown and Lee counters with a thumping low kick. Schmeiser throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Schmeiser just manages to avoid a counter high kick fromLee. Lee slaps away a takedown attempt from Schmeiser, before circling back to the center of the mat. Schmeiser throws out a leg kick but Lee moves out of range and Schmeiser only half commits. Lee throws a quick counter kick to the body but Schmeiser avoids it. Schmeiser throws a predictable looking body shot
and Schmeiser takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.

Black gets a double leg takedown into Stern's guard. Black tries to stand but Stern is controlling from the bottom.

Stern is trying to control Black's posture but Black avoids it. Stern tries to improve position but can't. Black wants to stand but Stern has his arm trapped. Stern regains half guard.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Boschat tries to bum rush Rento with a series of wild strikes but Rento uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Rento clinches. Boschat wants to break the clinch but can't.
Rento lands on the inside with an uppercut. Rento lands a right hand. Rento goes for a takedown in the clinch but Boschat prevents it.
Rento tries to throw a body punch but Boschat avoids it by throwing Rento back against the cage. Rento lands a damaging elbow. Boschat has had enough of the clinch but Rento keeps him there for the moment. Boschat wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee. Rento can't find room to land a body shot as Boschat controls the action.
Rento decides to pull guard. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Rento is on top in guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Boschat wants to stand up but Rento is controlling him. Rento throwing strikes from guard but Boschat blocks nicely. Rento throws a big right hand that misses.
That's one minute gone in the round. Boschat is edging up against the cage. He's using the cage to get back to his feet. Nice work there - the fighters are clinched. We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Rento has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat. A frustrated look appears on Boschat's face as he tries to break the clinch. A short right hand to the side of the head by Rento. Rento lands a shoulder strike. Boschat escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Boschat stalks Rento and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Rento's face. Rento staggers backwards, shaken.
It looks like Reijo Rento has been cut. Boschat misses with a two punch combination.
Boschat lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Rento circles away quickly and effectively. Rento shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Boschat as he jumps to the side. Boschat connects with a right hand. Rento shakes it off. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Boschat connects with a good right hand that stumbles Rento. Rento circles away out of range and recomposes himself. Rento shoots in for a takedown but Boschat shows good takedown defense. Thor Boschat has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Reijo Rento. Rento closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so. Rento feints and then cracks Boschat's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Boschat down.

He pushes Rento off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds. Nice sprawl there from Boschat as Rento shoots in. Good exchange - Boschat coming out on top. Boschat fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Rento looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath. Boschat scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!

Sweet has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Haapana finds it's way round the side to connect with Sweet's head. Haapana lands with a nice body punch. Haapana throws a nice inside leg kick. Haapana dips down and scores with a jab to the body. Haapana gets a clinch. Haapana lands with a light punch inside. Sweet is trying to pull guard but Haapana turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch. Sweet wants to break free but Haapana has control.
