The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jon scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
McNulty misses with a looping right.

Jon fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging McNulty to the ground. Jon is now in McNulty's guard.
McNulty is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Nice takedown defense from Jon. No joy for Creeper on that attempt.

and Creeper counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. Jon is lucky that one didn't land flush.

Creeper drops back, looking for a kneebar! Jon looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Jon looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Jon!

Jon pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Creeper back to the cage. Jon follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.

Jon darts in looking for a takedown but Creeper gets double underhooks and turns Jon into the cage.

Tupper moves forwards but Garver connects with a nice, crisp jab.
Tupper fakes a jab and scores with a low kick.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
Tupper tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Tupper misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Garver misses with a looping left.
Garver lands with an overhand left.
Garver connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Tupper momentarily.
Garver throws the left hand but Tupper avoids the punch easily.

A looping hook to the body misses from Garver. Tupper does a little dance to reset his feet.
Tupper is trying to avoid his opponent's strikes and get into the clinch.
Tupper moves in looking to clinch but Garver pushes him off.
Garver throws a leg kick which misses Tupper's front leg but catches the back leg as Tupper tries to avoid it.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Garver was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger.
Tupper tries to check a leg kick but that clearly hurt him.
Garver lands a nice shot to the body.
Garver connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Tupper's hands.
Garver throws a solid leg kick but Tupper takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Garver.
Tupper misses with a looping left.
Tupper tries to clinch but Garver is having none of it.
Tupper lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
Tupper tries to clinch up but Garver circles away and keeps his distance.

Garver closes the distance and lands a vicious right hand that drops Tupper! Garver dives in looking to finish! Tupper is still trying to defend himself but he's taking too many shots and the referee has no choice but to stop the fight!
