Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Joshua Redding (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Guillermo Mendez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Redding comes to the cage accompanied by Alive. Guillermo Mendez told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Joshua Redding! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Guillermo Mendez! The judges for this bout are Konstantin Menshow, Fedor Mirinova and Ivan Kurochkin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Redding moves out of range of the body kick from Mendez.
Mendez tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Redding swivels and escapes. Mendez closes this distance looking for a takedown but Redding circles away. Redding's jab looks to have found its range, popping Mendez under the eye. Mendez misses with a takedown attempt and Redding counters with a body kick that brings a smile to the face of both fighters. Joshua Redding has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Guillermo Mendez. Mendez shoots in but no luck this time. Redding throws a quick counter kick to the body but Mendez avoids it. Excellent takedown into side control there by Redding. Mendez takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.
A lull in the action here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Redding wants to control but Mendez is keeping him busy. You can see the frustration on Mendez's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Redding decides to stand back up. Mendez tries for a takedown but Redding sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Redding delivers a nice body kick. Mendez fails with a takedown attempt. Horrible takedown attempt by Mendez or perhaps it was just good defense by Redding, which made it look bad. No luck for Mendez with that takedown attempt. Redding is looking to counter punch. Mendez looks winded!
That's two minutes gone in the round. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Mendez. As Mendez looks to move away, Redding throws a big counter combo but Mendez just gets out of the way. Redding stuffs the takedown. Redding appears to be looking for a big counter. Mendez tries to clinch but Redding is having none of it. Redding jinks towards his opponent looking like he wants to counter with a mid kick but doesn't commit. Redding throws a right and a left that Mendez avoids nicely. Redding scores with a push kick. Redding is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Mendez's half guard. Redding trying to mount his opponent but Mendez defends it. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Redding prevents Mendez from improving his position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Redding scoring with strikes to the body and head. Redding sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Mendez defending well though. Mendez missing with punches from the bottom.
Redding content to control rather than advance. Mendez looking for submissions from an awkward position here. Redding is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position. Mendez actively working from the bottom here.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now. Redding decides he's had enough of the ground and stands up.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Mendez with a lazy takedown attempt and Redding counters with an inside leg kick. Mendez shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Redding counters with a straight punch to the midsection. Guillermo Mendez seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Mendez steps to his left, right into the path of a big body kick from Redding. That one must have hurt. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Mendez. Redding ducks down and throws a hook to the body. Mendez misses with a takedown attempt and Redding counters with a leg kick then a big left hand that sends Mendez down! Redding is looking to finish but Mendez is intelligently defending himself.
Mendez is rocked! This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Redding stands up from Mendez's guard - Redding perhaps looking for a knockout. Mendez is still on wobbly legs! Can Redding finish him? Mendez takes a push kick to the midsection and stumbles backwards. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Joshua Redding dominated that round. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.
Redding lands a hook that stumbles Mendez back into the cage. Redding follows up with a straight and another hook that land right on the button, dropping Mendez to the canvas! Redding pounces and lands several unanswered shots - Mendez has had enough and taps out! This one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:05 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Strikes). Joshua Redding! After winning the bout, Joshua Redding thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Dorkuraz ducks under a wild hook from Kazadorez. Dorkuraz looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights. Kazadorez scores with a jab to the body. Kazadorez avoids the body shot from Dorkuraz.
Dorkuraz gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here. A nice left hand lands by Dorkuraz.
Kazadorez tries to throw a body punch but Dorkuraz avoids it by throwing Kazadorez back against the cage. Dorkuraz digs a right hand into Kazadorez's ribs. Those have got to be taking their toll on Kazadorez's gas tank. Kazadorez throws a punch but it's blocked by Dorkuraz. Kazadorez wants to get back to striking at distance but Dorkuraz won't allow it.
Kazadorez's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button! Kazadorez tries to break free but Dorkuraz pushes him back against the cage. Dorkuraz comes over the top with an elbow. That landed flush.
It looks like Andretii Kazadorez has been cut. Kazadorez misses with a punch on the inside.
Dorkuraz misses with a body punch.
Dorkuraz lands with a right to the head. Kazadorez working hard to break the clinch. Dorkuraz softening up his opponent with strikes, against the cage. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. A frustrated look appears on Kazadorez's face as he tries to break the clinch. Kazadorez has had enough of the clinch but Dorkuraz keeps him there for the moment. Dorkuraz has Kazadorez pressed against the cage, preventing Kazadorez from circling away and getting back to striking at range.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kazadorez tries to circle away but Dorkuraz has him pinned against the cage. A short right from Dorkuraz. Kazadorez blocks a body shot from Dorkuraz. Kazadorez avoiding damage as Dorkuraz throws knees to the body.
Dorkuraz lands a body shot. Kazadorez has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate. Kazadorez tries to circle away but Dorkuraz has him pinned against the cage. Kazadorez wants to break the clinch but can't.

Andretii Kazadorez's cut is getting worse. Kazadorez wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee. Dorkuraz lands a right hand. Dorkuraz lands a nice looking hook to the body, against the cage. Kazadorez is breathing heavily. Kazadorez is looking to break free of the clinch but Dorkuraz has double underhooks. Dorkuraz works on Kazadorez's body with a couple of short punches. Dorkuraz is clearly stalling here... Pick up the pace son.

Andretii Kazadorez's cut is bleeding quite badly. He's got to try and protect it. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! An uppercut to the body lands inside from Dorkuraz. Dorkuraz working some nice short punches in the clinch.
Jeez, Andretii Kazadorez's cut is really nasty now. The referee must be thinking about getting that checked. An uppercut to the body lands inside from Dorkuraz. Nice body punch from Dorkuraz. Kazadorez is trying to force a seperation but Dorkuraz has the dominant position. Dorkuraz slowing the pace effectively. Dorkuraz lands a hook that snaps the head of Kazadorez backwards. Dorkuraz works for underhooks and lands a body shot in the process.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Some wild striking there from Tripplet.
Westernfield is looking to counter the offense by Tripplet and move into the clinch. Westernfield takes the fight into the clinch. Tripplet is trying to stall.
A left hand lands to the body for Tripplet.
Tripplet's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Tripplet connects with the punch. Tripplet throws out a powerful jab. Westernfield is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Tripplet's half guard. Tripplet desperately trying to maintain half guard. Tripplet is staying active underneath Westernfield, who seems content to just control the action from this position. Westernfield looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

Westernfield is keen to just control but Tripplet is a slippery customer. Tripplet tries to roll over but Westernfield keeps him under control. Tripplet is still trying to improve position. Tripplet has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Westernfield is working away from the top position though.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Westernfield moves into full mount! Tripplet won't be happy about that! Westernfield has control of Tripplet's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Tripplet regains control of the situation pretty easily.
Tripplet is looking to get to half guard. Westernfield looking to control but Tripplet is working nicely, looking to advance position himself. Tripplet really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Westernfield. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Tripplet is wriggling around here but as he tries to escape, Westernfield has taken his back.
That's three minutes gone in the round. You can see the frustration on Tripplet's face… He knows he is in trouble unless he improves his position sooner rather than later.
Tripplet is persisting with the attempt to improve his position. Westernfield looking for the choke from the back. Tripplet trying to control the action but Westernfield just sinks the hooks in. Westernfield working for the choke. Westernfield looking for the choke but no joy. Westernfield missing with strikes.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Westernfield avoiding Tripplet 's attempts to control his hands. Westernfield working for the choke. Westernfield is controlling his opponent, waiting for an opportunity to finish. Westernfield keeps control of the position as Tripplet tries to break free.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Westernfield is staying calm and holding on to the back position, whilst working on a rear naked choke. Tripplet is defending well though. Westernfield let's go of the attempt for now. The crowd hopeful of a finish here - Westernfield's supporters are on their feet, screaming for him to go for the rear naked choke.

Tripplet lands with a straight right. Westernfield didn't see that one coming. Tripplet throws a right hand that Westernfield ducks under and follows up with a left that Westernfield also avoids with ease. Westernfield is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Tripplet can do to turn this around? Westernfield closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Tripplet to the mat! Tripplet manages to get full guard. Tripplet is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Westernfield gets full guard. Westernfield looking to hit a scissor sweep but Tripplet is one step ahead there. Leon Will Westernfield overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Westernfield controlling Tripplet's posture. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Westernfield is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Tripplet trying to control but Westernfield is working from the bottom. Westernfield controlling the position. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Tripplet trying to stand up but can't free himself from Westernfield's guard. Westernfield is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Westernfield is pressing down on Tripplet's thigh, looking to free his foot. Tripplet is holding on for now. Westernfield seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Tripplet does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Westernfield is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Tripplet doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Westernfield. Tripplet looks like he's trying to stand up.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Tripplet rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Westernfield moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Westernfield tries for a takedown but Tripplet circles away easily and Tripplet counters with a lovely straight right hand! Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Westernfield closes the distance and clinches up with Tripplet, looking for a takedown. Westernfield pushes Tripplet against the cage but Tripplet circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Tripplet scores with a nice head shot. Tripplet will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

A close second round but Bruce Tripplet will probably get the nod - 10:9. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Bluethurty scores with a crisp jab that stopped Dar in his tracks.
It looks like Lappi Dar has been cut. Dar tries to score a power double leg takedown but Bluethurty sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Dar somewhat. Dar seems to be moving with more speed, compared to his last bout. He must have been working on that in the gym. A jab from Bluethurty misses. Bluethurty drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.
It looks like Berry Bluethurty has been cut. Dar fails with a takedown attempt. A cross from Bluethurty lands. Bluethurty lands a big uppercut and Dar crumbles to the floor! The ref thinks about stopping the fight but Dar looks OK. Bluethurty waves Dar back to his feet!
Dar is rocked! This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! A punch combination from Bluethurty misses. Oh Dar is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Bluethurty lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Dar circles away quickly and effectively. Dar shoots in for a takedown but Bluethurty shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. A little jabbing left from Bluethurty on the counter but it doesn't find it's target. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Lappi Dar. That's going to take a lot out of him. Bluethurty grits his teeth and throws a big right-left combo! Dar takes both shots clean on the chin and is out cold! Bluethurty cracks him once more on his way down, as the crowd goes wild! They enjoyed that one!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:42 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Berry Bluethurty! A determined Berry Bluethurty didn't want to dwell on this fight in his post fight interview. Instead he was more keen to state he wants a title shot. Let's see if he gets it!

Punisher dips down and scores with a jab to the body. Punisher throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Mayflower takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Mayflower loads up on a big right hand but Punisher slips the punch. Punisher dips to his left and cracks Mayflower with an uppercut! Mayflower looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight. A punch combination from Punisher misses. Mayflower scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Punisher is looking for a sweep. Punisher tries to slip a leg under to move to half guard but Mayflower presses down on the leg and jumps into full mount! Punisher tries to improve his position but Mayflower has taken his back! Mayflower has a choke - it's sunk in pretty tight... Will Punisher tap? No... maybe... yes! He's tapped! Mayflower pushes Punisher away and gets up to celebrate with his corner!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Sisyaskez tries to move into range but Kelzenberg moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.
It looks like Kane Sisyaskez has been cut. Angelo Kelzenberg seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Kelzenberg throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Sisyaskez. Kelzenberg throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Klimov listening to his corner there, landing a nice uppercut. Klimov works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance. Kriel will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. A combination from Kriel does no damage. Kriel closes this distance looking for a takedown but Klimov circles away. Klimov cracks Kriel with a big right hand and Kriel goes down!
Kriel is rocked! The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Klimov wants to stand but Kriel is controlling his posture from full guard. Kriel is still in real trouble! Can Klimov finish him? Kriel stands up from Klimov's guard - Kriel perhaps looking for a knockout. Kriel shoots in and drives through. Klimov sprawls well. Klimov is looking light on his feet compared to last time was saw him fight. Kriel drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.

Klimov is looking to reverse the position. Kriel working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it. Chao bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut. Tarasov takes a shot right to the bread basket. Tarasov displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Chao throws out the jab. Chao lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Chao cracks Tarasov with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage. Chao throws a jab but it's blocked by Tarasov. Tarasov defending well as Chao loads up on a big left hand.

Tarasov shoots in looking for a takedown but Chao manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Tarasov's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. Tarasov gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head. Tarasov takes a swing at Chao's ribcage but misses. Chao is using his reach advantage to land shots from outside his opponent's range. Tarasov tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Chao defends well and Tarasov ends up having to push Chao into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch. Tarasov drives through with a takedown into Chao's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.

Is there anything that Chao can do to turn this around? Chao tries to lock up and control but Tarasov gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. Tarasov thowing strikes but they're hitting the gloves, not doing any damage. Tarasov throwing strikes here but Chao is writhing around nicely and avoiding any serious damage.
