Undercard bout

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Scott Manning (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Alfred Cambridge (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Cambridge is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Blur - Song 2. Alfred Cambridge told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cambridge cracks Manning with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.
Manning avoids the body shot from Cambridge.
Manning throws a big counter combination but Cambridge scrambles out of danger and avoids any damage.
Cambridge looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Manning misses with a straight right.

Cambridge feints and as Manning raises his hands in defense, Cambridge changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

Manning wriggles free and stands up.
Alfred Cambridge seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Cambridge fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Manning, pushing him back against the cage.
Manning has Cambridge pressed against the cage, preventing Cambridge from circling away and getting back to striking at range.
Cambridge is trying to push Manning away but Manning has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.
Manning prevents Cambridge from breaking the clinch.

Cambridge escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
The referee calls for the fighters to work.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Cambridge throws a series of punches but Manning avoids them all with ease.
It looked like Manning wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.
Cambridge rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Manning moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

Cambridge is looking to stand back up... there's a bit of a scramble and Manning dives into side control.

Manning has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Manning wants to lay and pray for a moment but Cambridge keeps working.

Manning tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Manning has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

That was a close round but I would say that Scott Manning will probably get the nod.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Manning accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

That was a close second round but I would say that Scott Manning will probably get the nod.

Tism feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Maybis jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!

A punch lands to the side of Maybi 's head but he takes it in his stride.

Maybi clinches up with Tism and pushes him back against the cage.
Tism takes an elbow to the forehead.

Tism breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

He tries to recover but Morris pounces and lands a hail of unanswered strikes that forces the referee to step in to end the fight! Shiet is not happy but he gave the referee no choice!

Kumlakar is looking to cinch up a triangle. Chipperson throws the leg off to one side though and gets in tight to Kumlakar's body to avoid the submission. Kumlakar has instead reached around Chipperson's neck and now has a guillotine! Oh, this is biiiig trouble! Kumlakar arches his back and squeezes and forces the tap from his hapless opponent.
