8 - 11 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Sandor Silva! The judges for this bout are Shirou Masuda, Shigeki Sano and Tatsuya Matsuyama.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Silva stalks Gingerson and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Gingerson's face. Gingerson staggers backwards, shaken. Silva misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Gingerson shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Silva defends it nicely. Gingerson darts in and clinches Silva up against the ropes. Gingerson leaning against his opponent.
Silva pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Gingerson dodges the punch combination from Silva.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Nice defenses there by Gingerson. Gingerson tries to clinch but Silva is having none of it. Some wild striking there from Silva.
A counter left hand to the body from Gingerson misses its target. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Silva is defended easily by Gingerson.
That's one minute gone in the round. Silva moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body. Gingerson rushes Silva and pushes him back against the ropes in a clinch. Gingerson breaks the clinch.
Silva shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Gingerson eats them both and turns towards Silva to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo. Silva lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Gingerson backs up against the ropes.
Gingerson tries to score a power double leg takedown but Silva sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Gingerson somewhat. Silva smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Gingerson throws a sloppy head kick and Silva moves out of range easily. Silva shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Gingerson as he jumps to the side. Silva looks for a takedown but Gingerson sprawls well. Alf Gingerson has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Sandor Silva. Silva dives in and grabs Gingerson's left leg, looking for a takedown. Gingerson pushes down on Silva's head and hops out. Silva looks winded! Gingerson throws a body punch but Silva moves out of range. Gingerson slips a jab and a cross from Silva.

Silva throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Gingerson's waist but Gingerson gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Silva off to one side. Gingerson fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Gingerson moves into the clinch. Gingerson is looking to take this one to the mat.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Gingerson lands a nice shot to the body. Silva letting Gingerson take a breather here. Gingerson escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
A clash of legs there as Silva blocks the low kick. Despite the aggression on Silva's face he doesn't fully commit to the counter. Gingerson takes one to the side of the head.
Silva displaying good standup as he scores with a three punch combination. Silva throws a hook but Gingerson avoids it easily. Silva throws the left hand but Gingerson avoids the punch easily. Silva gets caught napping as Gingerson dives in and scores a takedown. Silva manages to retain guard. Silva uses the ropes to get back to his feet.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Gingerson closes the distance and pushes Silva back into the ropes.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Gingerson gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, Silva regains guard.
Gingerson trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Silva working for submissions but it's allowed Gingerson to get to half guard.
Gingerson perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there. Gingerson has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent. Gingerson seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Sandor Silva dominated that round. That's time! Back to the action!

Gingerson is looking to land body kicks. Silva gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Gingerson decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Silva's guard. Gingerson is standing up over Silva. Silva looks to escape but Gingerson dives into side control.
Gingerson has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand. Gingerson uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Silva. Gingerson attempts a counter takedown but Silva avoids it well and moves away. Silva slips a jab and a cross from Gingerson.

Sandor Silva seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Silva throws an overhand right that lands on Gingerson's shoulder, as Gingerson tries to avoid the shot. Gingerson seemed to be looking to counter by closing the distance. Gingerson pushes Silva up against the ropes in a clinch. This has been an exciting period of action! Gingerson fails to land with a short punch on the inside.

Silva is breathing heavily. Gingerson escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Gingerson shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Gingerson has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Gingerson takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists. Silva wants to get back to full guard. Gingerson seems to be working for a kimura but Silva defends the submission attempt. Silva is not content to let Gingerson control the position.

Silva is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Gingerson pulls his head out easily. Gingerson gets to his feet - back to striking we go!

The step up in weight doesn't seem to be a problem for Silva. He's performing admirably here against the bigger man. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Silva is trying to break free.

Trasseli quickly followed up with a counter body kick but doesn't connect. Menchaka throws a hook but Trasseli blocks it. Menchaka avoids the body shot from Trasseli.
A big left from Menchaka misses. Menchaka misses the shot to the body. A counter left hand to the body from Trasseli misses its target. Trasseli connects with an inside leg kick. Trasseli fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Menchaka looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath. Trasseli slips a jab from Menchaka. It looked like Trasseli was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit. Menchaka closes the distance but Trasseli moves to the side and Trasseli counters with a thumping low kick. Trasseli keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Menchaka. Menchaka avoids the body shot from Trasseli.
It seemed like Menchaka was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it. Trasseli slips under a jab from Menchaka. Menchaka drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles. Menchaka misses with a wild combination.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Erokhin throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. A little jabbing left from Gene on the counter but it doesn't find it's target. Gene on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere. Erokhin looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight. Erokhin takes the fight into the clinch. Gene has a couple of punches blocked by Erokhin.
With the fighters clinched against the ropes, Erokhin creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut. Erokhin lands a knee to the head there! That was nasty!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Tavares throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.
It looks like Santiago Diablo has been cut. Diablo tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Tavares defends well and Diablo ends up having to push Tavares into the ropes where they will battle it out in the clinch. Diablo jabbing away but nothing is landing. Tavares fails to land with a series of punches.
We've been hearing reports that Tavares has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight. Diablo avoids the body shot from Tavares.
Tavares throws a series of punches but Diablo avoids them all with ease. Diablo throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Tavares sees it coming and avoids it easily. Diablo walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush. Tavares lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.

Oliveira looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple. Oliveira definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight. Bellic rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Oliveira moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Oliveira feinted with a counter takedown. Good exchange - Bellic coming out on top.

Bellic wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection. A good leg kick by Oliveira. Bellic tries to bum rush Oliveira with a series of wild strikes but Oliveira uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Bellic cracks Oliveira with a nasty uppercut that draws ooohs from the crowd and sends Oliveira tumbling backwards onto the mat. He tries to recover but Bellic pounces and lands a hail of unanswered strikes that forces the referee to step in to end the fight! Oliveira is not happy but he gave the referee no choice!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:21 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). David Bellic! A loyal slave to those sponsorship dollars, David Bellic made sure he mentioned Sun-Tzu, along with how happy he was to win his fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Palavra with a lazy takedown attempt and Monet counters with a straight punch to the midsection. Monet ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Palavra moves away. Monet misses with a wild body shot. Palavra doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body. The crowd cheers as Monet lands an impressive looking overhand right. Palavra doesn't seem phased though. Monet scores with a punch to the head. Boros Monet seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Palavra looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Monet is fending him off so far but Palavra persists. Nope, Monet circles away and we're back to standing. Monet lands with an uppercut that bounces Palavra off the ropes and back into range. Monet misses with an uppercut

We've been hearing that Palavra has been drilling a lot of ground and pound in training, so let's see if he get the finish. Palavra trying to control the action but Monet is working from the bottom. Palavra is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Monet is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. Monet managing to avoid any damage from the strikes thrown by Palavra.

Monet loads up on a big right hand but Palavra slips the punch. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Palavra ducks under a wild hook from Monet. Monet lands a head kick!

That's one minute gone in the round. Palavra shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat. The fighters are working up against the ropes. Monet manages to wriggle his way back to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched against the ropes. Oh Palavra is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Monet escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Palavra closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Monet did well to prevent Palavra getting side control. Palavra seems to have got his legs back now. Palavra seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Monet trying to control but Palavra postures up.

Palavra is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Monet can do to turn this around? Palavra throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Redz closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. Redz has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. Redz prevents Noobert from improving his position. Redz is just content to waste time from the top position. Noobert takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard. Redz has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Noobert to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Redz is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Noobert pulls down on the head and he's put Redz to sleep! This one is all over!

It looks like Daniel Ryan has been cut. We've been hearing reports that Ryan has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight. A jab from Rutten finds it's way through Ryan's defenses. Rutten scores with a decent looking hook. Rutten misses the jab. Nice defenses there by Ryan. Ryan darts in looking for a takedown but Rutten gets double underhooks and turns Ryan into the ropes. Rutten has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout. Rutten tries to score with a low kick but Ryan moves his leg out of the way. Rutten connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Ryan's hands. Ryan throws a combination that misses and Rutten cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.

A low kick from Rutten lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Ryan has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Ryan and we're back underway with a touch of gloves. No joy there for Ryan, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Rutten lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. A chopping leg kick lands by Rutten. Ryan shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Ryan backing away here, and Rutten unleashes a leg kick that just misses. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Ryan is defended easily by Rutten. Both fighters are breathing heavily.

Ryan fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Rutten avoids it really well and circles away. Rutten lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range. Ryan throws a jab when Rutten was well out of range. Ryan has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Rutten. Rutten tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Rutten jabs Ryan right on the nose. Ryan blinks but takes it well.
Daniel Ryan's cut is bleeding quite badly. He's got to try and protect it. Rutten scores with a jab. Rutten pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Ryan back to the ropes. Rutten follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Rutten thows a left - swing and a miss! Ryan uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Rutten. Rutten defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Ryan. Rutten throws a looping overhand right but Ryan ducks down to avoid it. Donk. Rutten catches Ryan right on the button with a cross.

Ryan is hobbling a little on that front leg after taking quite a few leg kicks so far in this fight. Rutten throws a lazy right hand but Ryan sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. Ryan attempts a counter takedown but Rutten avoids it well and moves away. Ryan slips a jab from Rutten. Rutten connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son. Rutten cracks the inside of Ryan's front leg. Daniel Ryan has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Bas Rutten is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight. Sloppy strikes from Rutten. Those never looked like landing.
And that's the end of the fight! Bas Rutten comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Rutten has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Diaz's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Kruiz connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Diaz scrambles back to his feet. Kruiz closes the distance and clinches. Kruiz lands with a good tight uppercut to the head. A knee to the head by Kruiz.
Still in the clinch, Kruiz scores with a nice short uppercut. Diaz jumps guard but Kruiz turns him against the ropes and keeps the fight standing. Kruiz lands with a light punch inside. The referee calls for Kruiz to work.

Diaz is rocked! Kruiz throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Diazs head. Diaz is still on wobbly legs! Can Kruiz finish him? Our sources have told us that Kruiz has been working on his knees in the buildup to the fight. Diaz goes for a takedown in the clinch but Kruiz prevents it.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Kruiz dips a shoulder and cracks Diaz with a mighty uppercut! Diaz falls back against the ropes and Kruiz unloads with a barrage of strikes! Diaz is completely out with his eyes open, only supported by the ropes! Save him ref! Eventually the ref decides to do his job and jumps in - Kruiz screams abuse at the incompetent official before going over to celebrate with his corner. Brutal stuff!

Making sure that Mohito Fightwear logo gets some air time is pretty tricky when you're all sweaty. In defeat, Diego Diaz stepped up to the mic, saying 'Eu amo este esporte e eu nunca vou parar até que eu estou morto, então eu estarei de volta novamente. (I love this sport & I will never stop until I'm dead so I will be back again)'.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Molito slips a jab from Vargas. Molito swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made. Vargas swings widly with a right hand
and Molito counters with a nice body shot. Vargas slips a straight right by Molito. Vargas throws a head kick that looked like it stung.
It looks like Enrique Molito has been cut. Molito looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights. Molito dips down and scores with a jab to the body. That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Molito crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Vargas - the referee stops the clock and Molito gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Vargas. Molito manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Vargas thows a left - swing and a miss! Molito uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Vargas.

That's one minute gone in the round. Vargas blocks the body kick.
Vargas jabs Molito to the body, keeping him at a distance. Molito blocks a leg kick. Vargas moves into range and lands a nice leg kick. Vargas throws a head kick that misses. Molito throws out a counter right but Vargas avoids it with no problem. Vargas throws a body punch but Molito moves out of range. Vargas steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Molito. Vargas throws a lazy head kick and Molito counters with a nice uppercut.
It looks like Ryan Vargas has been cut.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Molito misses with a left hand and Vargas counters with a straight right hand. Molito keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Vargas. Vargas takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.

and Molito counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Vargas throws a low kick, looking for Molito's leg but Molito calmly moves out of range. Vargas needs to keep his hands up - Molito had a free shot at his head there. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Vargas swings and misses with a shot to the body and Molito cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Vargas throws a body shot but no joy. Molito looks like he wants to counter punch here.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Vargas gets off balance looking for a body kick and Molito counters with a stiff right hand. Vargas tries to score with a low kick but Molito moves his leg out of the way. Molito flicks out a counter leg kick but Vargas steps away. Molito misses with a jab, cross combination.

letting Molito counter with a right hand. Vargas looks to score with a jab to the body but Molito is just out of range. Molito looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it. Vargas takes one to the side of the head.
Molito moves out of range of the strikes. Vargas lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Good exchange - Molito coming out on top. Vargas takes a jab right on the kisser.

Vargas is rocked! The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Molito tries a head kick but it misses.
Oh Vargas is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Vargas drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles. Molito lands with a right and another and another! Vargas is in big trouble! Molito lands again and this time it's lights out for Vargas! A quality knockout there for Molito.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:38 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Enrique Molito! Enrique Molito retains his featherweight title! Enrique Molito bigged himself up after the win. The crowd seemed to love it.
