1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Nikola Mihaljevic! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, George Blake! The judges for this bout are Yves DeLean, William Peck and Elvis Blanc.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Blake keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Blake tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Mihaljevic manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Mihaljevic bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut. Blake takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Blake is defended easily by Mihaljevic. Mihaljevic swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect. Mihaljevic tests Blake's chin there with a solid looking shot. The fighters circling - Mihaljevic throws out the jab but it was never going to land. Mihaljevic backing away here, and Blake unleashes a leg kick that just misses. Blake fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Mihaljevic appears to be looking for a counter punch to the body. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Mihaljevic clinches with his opponent.
Blake tries to pull guard but Mihaljevic holds him up against the cage and eventually Blake drops back down to his feet.
Nikola Mihaljevic has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of George Blake. Mihaljevic lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Blake backwards.
It looks like George Blake has been cut. Blake jumps guard and drags Mihaljevic to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
That's one minute gone in the round. Mihaljevic trying to control but Blake is working from the bottom. Mihaljevic has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Blake kicks Mihaljevic off and gets to his feet. Blake takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming. Mihaljevic keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Blake gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Mihaljevic. Mihaljevic gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here. Mihaljevic lands a right hand. Mihaljevic working on landing some head shots here - that one got through nicely. A left hand lands to the body for Mihaljevic.
Blake is working hard here but doesn't seem to be able to control effectively, up against the cage. Mihaljevic lands with a left to the head.
That's two minutes gone in the round. This has been an exciting period of action! Mihaljevic throws a hook to the body. More of an arm punch but it's all scoring with the judges. Mihaljevic is defending well against a takedown attempt. Blake looks winded! Blake has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Mihaljevic uses from the top position. Blake is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Mihaljevic trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Mihaljevic content to stall in guard here. Mihaljevic stands up and waves to Blake to follow him. Mihaljevic fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Mihaljevic digs a good body shot into Blake's ribs. Blake gets cracked there but stands up to it.
A punch combination from Mihaljevic misses. Nikola Mihaljevic seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Blake has closed the distance and engaged Mihaljevic in a clinch.
Mihaljevic lands a hook to the body. It's hard to tell if that hurt Blake or not. Blake is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Blake tries to stand but stumbles back to his kness! Mihaljevic moves in to finish and the ref steps in to prevent any more damage!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Joo slips a jab and a cross from Rizal.
Joo shoots in but no luck this time. Rizal looks like he wanted to counter with a high kick but didn't throw it. Joo shoots in for a takedown but Rizal shows good takedown defense. Rizal slaps away a takedown attempt from Joo, before circling back to the center of the mat. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for jo Joo. That's going to take a lot out of him. Rizal closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Joo's guard. Joo has his foot on Rizal's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Rizal works his way back into a safe position though. Rizal trying to stand up but can't free himself from Joo's guard. Rizal looking to pass the guard. Joo has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Rizal can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Joo working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Rizal doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Rizal manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Joo is breathing heavily. Joo is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
That's one minute gone in the round. Joo looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Rizal has picked Joo up and slammed him! Joo can't keep hold of the triangle and Rizal manages to pass to side control! The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Rizal is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Joo will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already. Let's hope that Rizal has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight. Rizal stands up and we're back to a striking position. Rizal dives in and scores a takedown into Joo's guard. Rizal is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position. Rizal throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Joo works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Rizal forces his way into half guard. Joo is defending against the submission attempts here by Rizal.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now. Rizal is taking a breather. Joo says something to him but it's hard to make out. Rizal's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Rizal is punishing Joo with some ground and pound. What can Joo do to escape this position? He's going to have to figure it out pretty quick if he wants to stay in the fight!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Patter has Ren up against the cage in a clinch.
Ren working hard to break the clinch. Ren is pressed up against the cage. Patter has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Ren down to the mat. Ren avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance. Ren tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Patter defends well and Ren ends up having to push Patter into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch. Ren fails to land the takedown. Ren shoots and misses and Patter counters with a single leg into guard. Ren didn't expect that. Ren pushes Patter off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Renz Ren. That's going to take a lot out of him. Patter looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Patter looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding. It looks like Patter might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.
That's one minute gone in the round. Patter looking to pass the half guard. Not this time. Ren trying to control but Patter postures up.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Patter looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding. It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet. Ren looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Patter doesn't succeed with the takedown and Ren makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range. Ren pushes Patter up against the cage in a clinch. A shot in the inside from Ren. Patter ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Patter no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Ren trying to control but Patter is working from the bottom. Patter is looking to stand up but Ren isn't so interested in that idea. Ren got a little sloppy there for a moment and Patter has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Ren has managed to get both his arms back between Patter's legs - danger averted. Patter looks winded! Ren trying to control the position from guard on top but Patter is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Ren advances position into side control!
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Patter manages to work his way to half guard, despite Ren's best efforts. Patter is in trouble now - Ren has advanced to mount! Ren throwing sloppy strikes here. Perhaps if he tightened up his striking from such a dominant position, he'd be able to finish easier.
Ren lands a couple of nice shots there from mount.
Patter tries to get back to half guard but can't. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Ren trying to control but he's not successful this time. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Renz Ren will probably get the nod. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
The fight stays on the outside here - Ren looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Ren shoots in but no luck this time. Ren shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Patter sprawls well. Patter wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Ren gets slowly back to his feet. Patter closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Patter lands in his opponent's guard. Ren wriggles free and stands up.

Patter pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Ren tumbling to the mat - Patter dives into Ren's guard. Ren wriggles free and stands up. Patter is breathing heavily. Patter drops his hands momentarily and Ren takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Ren changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Patter looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. Patter tries to get back to his feet but has found himself mounted instead. Damn, that's gotta suck. Patter working to try and regain half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Patter is persisting with the attempt to improve his position. Ren trying to control but Patter is having none of it. Ren controlling from the full mount. The referee warns Patter that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Ren throws a strike there. Patter manages to avoid it well and slips a leg under to get to half guard.
Patter actively working from the bottom here. Ren throwing shots but Patter is blocking nicely. Patter keeping hold of Ren's head, controlling as best he can. Patter is not content to let Ren control the position. Ren thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Patter's head. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Patter avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Ren. Ren is looking to take a break and control but Patter is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Ren throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. Ren tries to stand but his hand is stuck under Patter. Patter is trying to control but can't.
Patter taking some punishment here, with Ren in his half guard. Ren is figuring out what he wants to do next. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Renz Ren dominated that second round. That's time! Ren's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!

Patter takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Patter throws a series of punches but Ren avoids them all with ease. Ren takes the fight into the clinch. Patter tries to circle away but Ren has him pinned against the cage.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Ren unloads a knee to the mid-section. Patter lets out a prehistoric sounding urrrrgh. Ren drops down looking for an ankle pick but Patter pulls his leg out and moves away.
Ren clinches up with Patter and pushes him back against the cage. Ren looking for a takedown. Ren breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Ren with a poor takedown and Patter counters with a takedown into side control. Ren throws his opponent off and manages to get back to his feet! Nicely done! That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Renz Ren. That's going to take a lot out of him. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Ren goes for a double leg but Patter avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Patter continues to drive forward. Patter drives through with a takedown into guard. Ren has scooted to the edge of the canvas and used the cage to get back to his feet. Patter has stuck on his opponent and is forcing him back against the cage.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Ren breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Ren wants to clinch up but Patter keeps it at a distance. Ren tries to clinch but Patter is having none of it. Ren darts in looking for a takedown but Patter gets double underhooks and turns Ren into the cage. Patter forces Ren back against the cage and clinches. Ren stalling the fight.

Ren manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back. Ren is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Patter is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control. Ren looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Ren being controlled here, momentarily. Ren is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Grzegorz Patter has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Renz Ren is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Ren wants to lay and pray for a moment but Patter keeps working.
And that's the end of the fight! Renz Ren showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Ren, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

Oooooh!!! Brain has knocked Jay Jay down with a huge combo! Brain steps away and waves a wobbly Jay Jay back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!
Jay Jay is rocked! This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Brain lands with a right and another and another! Jay Jay is in big trouble! Brain lands again and this time it's lights out for Jay Jay! A quality knockout there for Brain.
