The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
The crowd cheers as Hawk lands an impressive looking overhand right. Mills doesn't seem phased though.
Mills gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Hawk.
Tim Hawk seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Hawk blocks a head kick by Mills.

Hawk keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.

Hawk misses with a looping left.

Hawk is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Hawk feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Mills sprawling to the canvas! Mills rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Hawk finish him?!

Mills shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Mills was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Hawk is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Mills asserts his dominance and retains side control.
