These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

That was a close second round but I would say that Monty Orellana will probably get the nod. The cut man is working on Julien Hoffmann's cut. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!

Kushman shoots in looking for a takedown. Pike tries to sprawl out of it but Kushman keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Pike manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Pike appears to be looking for a big counter. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Kushman blocks a low kick nicely. The fighters circle momentarily. Kushman darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch. Pike scores with a head kick. Kushman tried to block it but didn't get his arm up in time.

and Kushman counters with a takedown into side control! That could mean trouble for Pike! Kushman tries to advance to mount but can't.
Kushman tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Kushman has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! Kushman is looking to take a break and control but Pike is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Kushman throwing ground and pound but whilst doing so, he forgets to control position and Pike works his way back to half guard. Good composure under pressure.

and Kushman counters with a takedown into side control! That could mean trouble for Pike! Pike takes a nasty elbow to the side of the head. Pike is trying to get back to half guard. Kushman is chipping away with strikes.
Pike is working to avoid the ground and pound but Kushman connects with a decent elbow. Larry Kushman has got the better of the ground game so far. Pike avoids any damage from the ground and pound of Kushman. Pike tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Kushman wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. Pike controlling the leg, holding on to half guard. Pike is staying active underneath Kushman, who seems content to just control the action from this position. Pike works his way to full guard. Good work. Pike bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Kushman's guard.
Kushman is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Kushman is trying to control the action in half guard but Pike is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. Pike sets himself, and Kushman steps forward looking for the clinch! Pike avoids it this time.
Pike closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. You can see the frustration on Kushman's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while. Kushman is looking to reverse the position. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Kushman tries to hold on but Pike postures up.

Kelle has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate. Michaels tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Kelle smiles and moves away.

Rold fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Crowder. Rold throws out a loose jab but Crowder uses good head movement to avoid it. Crowder takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.

Rold thuds a mid kick into his opponent's body. That will wear on Crowder if he has to take too many more of those.
Rold changes levels and scores with a jab to the body. Crowder checks the leg kick. Crowder was about to counter that last move with a leg kick but changes his mind. Rold swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. Rold throws a low kick, looking for Crowder's leg but Crowder calmly moves out of range. Nice defenses there by Rold. Crowder walks into a straight right hand from Rold. This has been an exciting period of action! Rold throws a nice inside leg kick. Crowder defending well as Rold loads up on a big left hand. Raylan Crowder is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Rold keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.

Rold tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Crowder is able to avoid easily. Crowder slips under a jab. Crowder lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent. Crowder moves out of range of the body kick. Crowder slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range. A punch lands to the side of Rold 's head but he takes it in his stride. Crowder lands with a thumping leg kick.
Rold takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.

Rold seems to have got his legs back now. Crowder throws the left hand but Rold avoids the punch easily. Crowder fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Rold on the side of the head. A low kick from Rold is predictable there and Crowder counters with a stiff right hand. Rold misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Crowder.

Mitchell's corner calls for a 1-2. Mitchell obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range. Burdyalov throws a low kick but it's checked well by Mitchell. A counter left hand to the body from Mitchell misses its target. Burdyalov cracks Mitchell with a good jab. Burdyalov has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout. Burdyalov lands a nice looking body shot.
Mitchell throws a hook to the side of Burdyalov's head but Burdyalov sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. Burdyalov checks a leg kick nicely. Burdyalov throws a nice inside leg kick. Some bone on bone action there as Burdyalov checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one. Burdyalov scores with a punch to the head. Burdyalov misses with a double jab.
Burdyalov lands a head shot. Mitchell fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Burdyalov manages to avoid it. Burdyalov moves out of range of the leg kick from Mitchell. Nice shot by Mitchell. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Burdyalov getting the better of the striking in that exchange. Burdyalov buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Burdyalov connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Mitchell's hands. A left lands for Burdyalov.

That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it. Burdyalov ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Mitchell moves away. Burdyalov lands a jab to the head.
Burdyalov walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head. Mitchell is looking to take this fight into the clinch. A little jabbing left from Burdyalov on the counter but it doesn't find it's target.

Mitchell follows him to the mat and finishes the job with more strikes! Mitchell gets the win via TKO!
