The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Talbot moves forwards but Bam connects with a nice, crisp jab. Talbot rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Bam moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Talbot misses with a low kick as Bam jumps back. Bam misses with a left hand and Talbot counters with a three punch combo that has Bam backing up. Bam nods at Talbot to acknowledge the strikes. Bam swings for the body but Talbot moves out of range.
Bam looks to throw the jab but Talbot is out of range. Bam misses with a wild body shot. Bam misses with an uppercut. Bam moves into range and clinches up with Talbot. Bam scores with an uppercut up the middle. Bam swings away with an uppercut that misses.

Bam throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Talbot on the side of the head. Talbot throws a lazy right hand but Bam sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. Bam throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Bam misses with a straight left. Talbot's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Bam connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Talbot scrambles back to his feet.

Bam thows a left - swing and a miss! Talbot bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. Bam lands with a right hand. Talbot blocks a jab. Talbot moves out of range as Bam strikes. A decent looking cross lands there for Bam. Bam throws a hook but Talbot avoids it easily. Bam misses with a looping left. Talbot misses with a jab, cross combination.
Bam pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Talbot back to the cage. Bam follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver. Talbot throws a body punch but Bam moves out of range. Bam throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Bam smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Talbot looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Talbot misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

It really doesn't seem like the step up in weight is hurting Bam here at all. He's more than holding his own against the bigger man. Bam tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage. An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Bam. Bam is pushing Talbot up against the cage, for a bit of lean and pray action. Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word. Talbot looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now. Bam has a couple of punches blocked by Talbot.

Bam ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Talbot moves away. Talbot takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor. Talbot swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Bam throws a hard body shot but it just misses.

The fighters circle momentarily. Bam darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch. Talbot scores with a nice strike. Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Talbot lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Bam has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Bam and we're back underway with a touch of gloves. Talbot throws a series of punches but Bam moves out of range. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Bam clinches up with Talbot and pushes him back against the cage. Talbot's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button! Talbot being controlled against the cage. Bam escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Bam works the jab nicely. Bam throws a body shot but no joy. Jefferson Talbot has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Bam misses with an uppercut. Talbot saw that one coming. Talbot takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Gajewski darts in and out, connecting with a jab. Cinotti shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard. We've been hearing good reports from Cinotti's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today. Gajewski keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. Gajewski is trying to stand back up but Cinotti is controlling him

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Pomkai throws a right hand that Quaye ducks under and follows up with a left that Quaye also avoids with ease. Quaye misses with a leg kick and Pomkai counters with a lovely straight right hand! Quaye lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

That was a close second round but I would say that Bhat Pomkai will probably get the nod. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

It looks like Gus McKenna has been cut. We've been told by McKenna's head coaches at Cutthroat that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight. Selassie connects with a nice looking jab.
