The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Brandon closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Brandon lands in his opponent's guard.
Brandon passes Buennaventura's left leg - he's now in half guard.

Brandon is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Buennaventura is just riding it out for now. Brandon eventually gives up the hold.

Brandon is looking for a kimura but Buennaventura is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Brandon to get the leverage.
Buennaventura flails away from the bottom but he's not doing any damage.

Brandon maintaining the dominant position here and is working for a kimura. He's locked it up! Buennaventura could be in real trouble here! He's trying to wriggle out but Brandon has cracked it and Buennaventura is screaming in pain - he's tapped out! Great finish by Brandon!

Brent Brandon spent the whole post fight interview bigging himself up. It didn't go down that well with the fans after a while as they thought it was a bit arrogant.
