 It looks like Rokuya Monkeymagic has been cut. Howitzer takes a head kick and keeps coming.
Howitzer cracks Monkeymagic with a big right hand that sends him to the floor! Monkeymagic looks wobbly but he's sprung back up to his feet straight away� can Howitzer finish him?
 Monkeymagic is rocked! Aiden Howitzer seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Monkeymagic glances at the clock... BAM! Howitzer nails him with a big right hand! A momentary lapse in concentration sends Monkeymagic crashing to the mat! The referee steps in and this one is over! Damn, Monkeymagic is out of it, he thinks the ref is his opponent!

Wolowitz gets a clinch. Brumbleroot looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this!
Wolowitz has Brumbleroot pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Wolowitz pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Brumbleroot tumbling to the mat - Wolowitz dives into Brumbleroot's guard. Brumbleroot keeping moving, preventing Wolowitz from controlling successfully. Wolowitz wants to pass the guard but Brumbleroot is keeping the position. Wolowitz showing good wrestling skills to control the position. Wolowitz trying to control but Brumbleroot is working from the bottom. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Wolowitz forces his way into half guard. Wolowitz moves nicely into side control.

Brumbleroot tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Wolowitz cranks the arm and Brumbleroot screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Brumbleroot, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.

 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Du Toit misses with a lunging right hand
and Myers holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.
Myers jumps guard and drags Du Toit to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back. Myers controlling Du Toit's posture. Myers's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.
Du Toit got a little sloppy there for a moment and Myers has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Du Toit has managed to get both his arms back between Myers's legs - danger averted. Myers tries to land a sweep but no joy. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Myers looking to control.
Du Toit has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Myers holds on and takes a little breather. Myers is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. Myers working a defensive guard here.

Myers felt the need to train up his defensive grappling in the buildup to the fight. Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it.

Du Toit definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight. Myers has his hands on Du Toit's head, controlling the position. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Myers wants to stand but Du Toit is controlling the position. Myers is striking but Du Toit is not phased and passes to half guard. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. The fighters are battling for position here. Myers manages to regain full guard. Nice work. Du Toit preventing the sweep. And that�s the end of the round � the fighters go back to their corners.

Head tries to clinch but Duffy moves out of range. Head misses with a looping left. Duffy tries to counter by moving into the clinch but Head manages to circle out of the way.

 It looks like Eraser Head has been cut. Head's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button! Head misses with a punch on the inside.

Duffy cracks Head with a nice body shot. Duffy digs a right hand underneath Head's ribcage. Head let out a lung full of air as it connected. Head looks winded! The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Duffy stalling the fight.

We've been hearing reports that Duffy has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight. Duffy lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage. Duffy using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Head has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.

Duffy lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Head backwards. Duffy prevents Head from breaking the clinch. Duffy working some nice short punches in the clinch. Duffy lands a body shot in the clinch.

Head tries to control but Duffy manages to take his back. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Head tries to roll but Duffy sticks to his back.
Duffy really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Duffy trying to secure his dominant position for a moment - making sure Head doesn't escape.
 That's one minute gone in the round. Duffy has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent. Duffy has the hooks in. Head is trying to push off one leg but he has to do so cautiously to avoid being submitted. Duffy is looking cool and calm here, just waiting for a good opportunity to attack and finish the fight from this dominant position.
You can see the frustration on Head's face� He knows he is in trouble unless he improves his position sooner rather than later.
 That's two minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. What can Head do to escape this position? He's going to have to figure it out pretty quick if he wants to stay in the fight!
Duffy is not going to allow Head to sit and survive in this position. Duffy is looking cool and calm here, just waiting for a good opportunity to attack and finish the fight from this dominant position.
 That's three minutes gone in the round. This is a sustained period of stalling by Duffy. Duffy will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Head tries to break free.

Duffy's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!!  Eraser Head's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Head lands with a short punch from the clinch.

Head has had enough of the clinch but Duffy keeps him there for the moment. Duffy taking a breather. Duffy dips a shoulder and cracks Head with a mighty uppercut! Head falls back against the cage and Duffy unloads with a barrage of strikes! Head is completely out with his eyes open, only supported by the cage! Save him ref! Eventually the ref decides to do his job and jumps in - Duffy screams abuse at the incompetent official before going over to celebrate with his corner. Brutal stuff!

 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Goyle fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Tsuruta has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage. Goyle with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.

9 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Anton Newcombe! The judges for this bout are James Atkins, Chris Edwards and James Glass.
 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Newcombe fails with a takedown attempt. Newcombe misses the jab. Altair lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw. Newcombe chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Altair can pounce on him.
A slow jab from Newcombe misses its intended target. Newcombe has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout. Altair keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.

Newcombe is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Altair is just riding it out for now. Newcombe eventually gives up the hold. Altair throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land. Altair lands a nice leg kick that just misses Newcombe's sensitive parts. That's going to take a lot out of Anton Newcombe. Newcombe has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Altair. Altair cracks Newcombe with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business. Altair slips under a jab. Newcombe's leg has a nasty welt from taking a succession of leg kicks. That must be slowing him down. Altair fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Newcombe has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage. Newcombe ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Altair moves away. Altair tried to counter with a leg kick but Newcombe avoided it. Newcombe tries to score a power double leg takedown but Altair sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Newcombe somewhat. Altair scores with a slapping inside leg kick.
 That's four minutes gone in the round. Nice body punch from Altair. Newcombe closes the distance and clinches up with Altair, looking for a takedown. Newcombe pushes Altair against the cage but Altair circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Altair throws a nice inside leg kick. Altair lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range. Altair swings for the body but Newcombe moves out of range.

Newcombe has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Newcombe throwing shots but Altair is blocking nicely. Altair knows he needs to get back to his feet asap.  That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Altair is looking to get full guard. It looks like he might be successful but at the last minute Newcombe jumps into side control!
Newcombe thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. Altair struggling a bit here. Altair is looking to reverse the position. Altair is working hard here to advance position. Altair takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.
 That's three minutes gone in the round. Newcombe in side control, throwing shots but Altair defends. Newcombe working the ground and pound. Newcombe creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Altair sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike. Altair is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Newcombe can do to turn this around? Altair tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Newcombe wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. A bit of a lull in the action here. Newcombe throws an elbow but Altair slips to the side and avoids it well. Newcombe working the ground and pound but he's contacting the mat, not the fighter. The referee asks Newcombe politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Newcombe prefers to stall for the moment though. Altair struggling a bit here.
 That's four minutes gone in the round. Newcombe taking a break here but Altair is having none of it and regains half guard. Newcombe not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Newcombe missing with the ground and pound from half guard. Anton Altair is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Newcombe thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Newcombe is looking to advance position but Altair won't allow it.
 The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet. Altair cracks the inside of Newcombe's front leg.

I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that D Z Canon was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Canon scores with a crisp jab that stopped Jebe in his tracks. Canon throws a looping overhand right but Jebe ducks down to avoid it. Jebe appeared to be looking to counter that last move with a leg kick.
Jebe gets in close and instigates a clinch. Canon blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning. Jebe throws a punch but it's blocked by Canon. Jebe blocks a punch to the side of the head.
Jebe turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Jebe manages to end up in side control. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. Canon is trying to get back to his feet. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Canon can do anything to dispel that myth. Canon is trying to get back to half guard. Jebe landing a few strikes. Canon tries to get back to his feet but has found himself mounted instead. Damn, that's gotta suck. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
