The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Ledbetter takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.
It looks like Liam Ledbetter has been cut. Swanson fails to land with a series of punches.
Ledbetter seem to be loading up, looking for a big counter. Sloppy strikes from Swanson . Those never looked like landing. Raphael Swanson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Swanson swats away the attempt to clinch by Ledbetter. Swanson drops Ledbetter with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Ledbetter looks back up at him and smiles so Swanson waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.
Ledbetter is rocked! We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Swanson avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Ledbetter tries to close the distance and clinch but Swanson swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Swanson ducks down and throws a hook to the body. Swanson misses with the combination.
Ledbetter is looking for a counter combo. Swanson avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Swanson comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range. Swanson looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Swanson has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout. Swanson throws a right and a left that Ledbetter avoids nicely. Ledbetter wants to clinch up but Swanson keeps it at a distance. Wow, both these guys are really going for it! Swanson tries to bum rush Ledbetter with a series of wild strikes but Ledbetter uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Swanson connects with a combination that backs up Ledbetter into the cage. Swanson lands a flurry of punches that gets past Ledbetter's guard. Ledbetter is down and the referee has seen enough. It is all over! Swanson bursts into tears - this win obviously means a huge amount to him.

A very excited looking Raphael Swanson made sure he remembered to thank all the fans both in the arena and on the internet. He said all the coolest people spend all day on MMA websites, which got a big reaction.

Chelios Jr throws an overhand right that lands on Garrett's shoulder, as Garrett tries to avoid the shot. Garrett is looking for the big counter here. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Garrett slips under a jab from Chelios Jr. Garrett lets it all go there with a big combo counter but none of the punches connected. Chelios Jr scores with a shot to the body.

Chelios Jr lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Garrett circles away quickly and effectively. Garrett throws a counter combo. Chelios Jr throws a hook to the side of Garrett's head but Garrett sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. Chelios Jr throws an off balance right hand
and Garrett counters with a series of strikes. Chelios Jr will be more careful next time no doubt. Chelios Jr tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Garrett was well out of range. Poor timing from Chelios Jr. Garrett is looking for the big counter here. Chelios Jr lands a big head kick that sends Garrett tumbling to the mat! Chelios Jr takes a step backwards and waves Garrett back to his feet - he wants the finish!

It looks like Alfonso Garrett has been cut. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Chelios Jr weaves into range and cracks Garrett right on the temple with a beautiful overhand right! Garrett goes down! He's out cold! Wow, what a beautiful knockout! Chelios Jr is strutting round the canvas like a movie star as the camera bulbs flash frantically.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! No luck with that takedown attempt from Amsterdam. Wooten looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Amsterdam is defended easily by Wooten. Amsterdam closes the distance and clinches up with Wooten, looking for a takedown. Amsterdam pushes Wooten against the cage but Wooten circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Hilo Amsterdam. That's going to take a lot out of him. Wooten throws a leg kick but Amsterdam checks it. Some wild striking there from Wooten.
Amsterdam half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range. No luck with that takedown attempt from Amsterdam. Wooten throws a right hand that Amsterdam ducks under and follows up with a left that Amsterdam also avoids with ease. Wooten finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Angst misses with an uppercut. Angst gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Velasquez to score an easy takedown into full guard. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. Velasquez looking to pass the guard. Angst wants to stand and escape but Velasquez is having none of it. Velasquez working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Angst's head. Angst has scooted to the edge of the canvas and used the cage to get back to his feet. Velasquez has stuck on his opponent and is forcing him back against the cage. Velasquez decides to pull guard. Angst wants to stand up, so he's looking to wriggle free of Velasquez's closed guard. He's half up but Velasquez has locked on to an arm! Uh oh! Velasquez pivots and extends the arm, Angst falls face first to the mat and taps??... does he?? YES! He's tapping! Excellent counter grappling there by Velasquez! Well done that man!

letting Drone counter with a right hand. Calloway shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Drone pinned against the cage. Drone gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Drone is loading up here, looking for a big counter of his own. Calloway drives through with a takedown into guard. Drone wants to get back to his feet but he's too absorbed in his own little project and Calloway manages to pass to side control.

Drone escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Calloway gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Calloway has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

Calloway escapes and throws Drone's legs to the side, diving into side control! Drone gets back to half guard. Drone is trying to stand back up but Calloway is controlling him
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Calloway lands a nice short elbow. Calloway looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Calloway is pressing down on Drone's thigh, looking to free his foot. Drone is holding on for now.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Drone is looking for a sweep. Calloway is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Drone is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Calloway's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Calloway's back! Drone looking for the choke but no joy. Drone is working the back position looking for the choke. Oh, he's slid into an armbar! Beautiful transition and Calloway taps out! Fantastic Jiu Jitsu from Drone.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:55 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Tyson Drone! Tyson Drone was full of energy after the big win and talked about how he thinks he can do big things in this sport. The crowd were appreciative of his determination to succeed.

Clawnes pushes off and fires off an elbow that misses, before clinching up again, against the cage. Degrizz told us before the fight that he's been working on his elbows. An under utilised technique these days - let's see if it can sway the outcome of the fight. Clawnes tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Degrizz avoids it. Degrizz throws a punch but it's blocked by Clawnes. Degrizz tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Clawnes's elbow. Clawnes throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Degrizz blocks it with crossed arms. Degrizz pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Degrizz checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time. Clawnes misses with a two punch combination.
Clawnes throws a leg kick but Degrizz checks it. Degrizz stuns Clawnes with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range. Clawnes throws a series of punches but Degrizz avoids them all with ease. Degrizz throws out a counter right but Clawnes avoids it with no problem. Clawnes circles away from the clinch attempt.
Clawnes closes the distance and clinches. Degrizz misses with a punch to the body.

Degrizz displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Clawnes throws out the jab. Degrizz jabbing away but nothing is landing. Degrizz takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.

Degrizz fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Clawnes on the side of the head. Clawnes tries to close the distance and clinch up but Degrizz swats him away and circles back towards the center. Clawnes takes the fight into the clinch. Clawnes lands an elbow just above Degrizz 's eye.

Degrizz is trying to push Clawnes away but Clawnes has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere. Degrizz takes an elbow to the temple.
That has opened up Jim Degrizz's cut even more. Clawnes pushes off an throws an elbow but Degrizz leans to the side and avoids it. We're back to clinching against the cage. Degrizz tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked. Clawnes using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Degrizz has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.

The cut above Jim Degrizz's eye is starting to cause him problems now. Clawnes with the Thai clinch. He's looking to land a big knee but he's not managed it this time.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Webbs stuffs the takedown attempt from Yanenko. Yanenko gets slowly back to his feet. Yanenko shoots and misses and Webbs counters with an inside leg kick. Yanenko misses with a takedown attempt enabling Webbs to counter with a crisp jab. Oliver Webbs has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Emil Yanenko. No luck for Yanenko with that takedown attempt. Webbs dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Yanenko. That did some damage! Yanenko dives in and grabs Webbs's left leg, looking for a takedown. Webbs pushes down on Yanenko's head and hops out. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Yanenko gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Webbs counters with a flying knee that drops Yanenko!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! DeLuise closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. DeLuise lands a left hand that snaps the head of Woodley backwards. Woodley blocks a couple of punches on the inside.
Woodley tightens his grip and picks DeLuise up, before dumping him to the ground. DeLuise manages to land in guard. DeLuise controlling Woodley's posture. DeLuise has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance. DeLuise's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.
