Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Ned Flanders (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Laggum Vane (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Vane comes into a darkened arena with his song building. No Rest for the Wicked kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Laggum Vane told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Flanders drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Vane striking from the bottom but nothing landed.

Dash looks to land a combination but Jonesy avoids it well.

Well Dash has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

Mendez feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends McGirk sprawling to the canvas! McGirk rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Mendez finish him?!

McGirk tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Mendez is able to avoid easily.
