He only made it down to 186.4lbs at the first attempt and had to take the additional two hours to make the official bout weight. Let's see how much it's taken out of him. Mando pushes Blitz away with a front kick.
Sloppy strikes from Mando. Those never looked like landing.
Mando has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
Jorge Mando seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Mando tries a head kick but it misses.
Mando thumps Blitz with a low kick.
Blitz fails with an attempt to clinch.
Mando swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Blitz counters with a lovely shot to the body.
Mando throws a leg kick that is checked
enabling Blitz to counter with a crisp jab.
Mando fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Blitz.
No joy there for Mando, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Mando throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Blitz tries to clinch up but Mando circles away and keeps his distance.
Blitz tries to close the distance and clinch up but Mando swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Mando lands a big head kick that sends Blitz tumbling to the mat! Mando takes a step backwards and waves Blitz back to his feet - he wants the finish!

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Oh Blitz is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!

Sanchez lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Rogers circles away quickly and effectively.
Sanchez shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Rogers eats them both and turns towards Sanchez to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.

Sanchez rushes Rogers and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.

Rodriquez had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Pederson defends it easily.

Pederson has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Rodriquez to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Pederson is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Rodriquez pulls down on the head and he's put Pederson to sleep! This one is all over!
