The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Crunkski ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Aoki moves away.

Aoki shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.

Aoki clinches up with Crunkski and pushes him back against the cage.
Aoki keeps control of Crunkski as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.
Crunkski wants to get back to striking at distance but Aoki won't allow it.
Aoki could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

Crunkski breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Crunkski throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

Crunkski tries to close the distance and clinch but Aoki swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Mike Crunkski seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Aoki.

Aoki needs to keep his hands up - Crunkski had a free shot at his head there.

Crunkski is looking for an opening here. He's unloaded a big left hand that catches Aoki flush on the jaw and sends him tumbling to the canvas! Aoki is out cold! Crunkski holds back from landing any unnecessary shots to his unconscious opponent, as the referee reacts slowly to the situation. A brutal knockout and then some excellent sportsmanship - this guy is my new favorite fighter!
