Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Devre Luck! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Sameh Habibi! The judges for this bout are Alyssa Summers, Steve Montenegro and Joseph Jones.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Habibi throws a big shot that misses. Luck slips a straight right by Habibi. Luck drops down looking for a counter takedown but Habibi sprawls and moves away. Habibi takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him. No joy there for Luck, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Habibi scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground. Habibi not landing any meaningful shots this time. Habibi prevents Luck from standing back up.
Luck avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Habibi. Habibi missing with the ground and pound from half guard. Luck really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Habibi in particular looking to stall. Habibi is pressing down on Luck's thigh, looking to free his foot. Luck is holding on for now. Luck is not content to let Habibi control the position.

Habibi controlling the position easily from mount. It looks like Habibi might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Habibi won't let Luck get back to his feet... He wants to keep the fight where it is for now. Habibi throwing strikes here but Luck is writhing around nicely and avoiding any serious damage.
Habibi lands with some strikes. Luck is looking to get back to his feet - it's going to be hard from this position. Habibi with some aggressive grappling here. He's looking for submissions here, rather than waiting for the opportunity to counter.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Habibi lands a nice shot to the head. Luck wants to try and get back to his feet. Luck holding onto his opponent's waist for dear life, as Habibi tries to land some strikes to get him to release his grip.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Luck tries to buck Habibi off but he can't manage it. Habibi has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Luck is squirming around, avoiding Habibi's attempts to control the action. Luck wants to get back to his feet.
Habibi lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning. Habibi looking to control but Luck is working nicely, looking to advance position himself. Habibi controlling from the full mount. Habibi thowing strikes but they're hitting the gloves, not doing any damage. Habibi trying to control but Luck is having none of it.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Luck wriggling around on the bottom manages to avoid the strikes thrown by Habibi.
Luck on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Luck tries to get out of the position. Habibi breaks from Luck's wrist control and lands an elbow. Habibi lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.
Luck tries to buck Habibi off but he can't manage it. Luck takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position. Luck is in a horrible position here, under a barrage of strikes, he's managing to avoid any damage.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Luck is trying to get to the cage to help him get back to his feet.
Habibi takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. Luck wants to use the cage to get back to his feet here.

Habibi throws a jab but it's blocked by Luck. Luck darts in and out, connecting with a jab. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Habibi. Habibi shoots for a takedown but Luck saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Habibi tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Luck swivels and escapes. Devre Luck has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Sameh Habibi. Nice shot by Luck. Luck lands a nice hook to Habibi's body. Habibi takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Luck clobbers Habibi with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise. Luck with a nice cross. Habibi manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Luck on his heels. He'll look to pass Luck's guard now, I'm sure. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Habibi throws a big elbow that misses.
That's one minute gone in the round. Luck keeping moving, preventing Habibi from controlling successfully. Habibi has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Habibi is loading up here, looking for a big counter of his own. Luck gets caught flat footed, as Habibi shoots in with a quick takedown into guard. Habibi is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Luck wants to stand but Habibi is controlling the position. Habibi looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Luck with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position. Habibi prevents Luck from standing back up.

Habibi is nestled in close to Luck, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure. Sameh Habibi showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!

Luck manages to get full guard. Habibi in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Habibi controls the pace of the fight for a moment. Habibi is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound. Habibi slips nicely into half guard. Habibi passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Luck! Luck is really trying hard to get back to his feet.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Habibi has hold of Luck's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Luck manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.

Habibi lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears. Habibi takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists. Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Habibi in particular looking to stall. Habibi is looking for a kimura but Luck is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Habibi to get the leverage. Luck is trying to stand up here but Habibi is controlling him well. Habibi slips a nice elbow through Luck's hands, connecting with Luck's forehead. Habibi takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position. Luck pushes Habibi off looking to stand but Habibi dives back in and keeps control.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Luck has hold of Habibi's hands but Habibi slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow. Habibi not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. Habibi thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Luck's head. Luck is in trouble now - Habibi has advanced to mount! Habibi connects with a couple of good shots from mount.
Habibi tries to control but Luck wriggling away. Habibi pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage. Habibi connects with a couple of good shots from mount.
Luck knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Habibi on the ground. Habibi looking to control and managing it successfully. Habibi can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Luck is looking to escape.

Habibi is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Luck can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.
