The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Lamond throws out a token jab with nothing on it. Lamond swings for the body but West moves out of range.
West steps in looking to clinch after the strikes miss from Lamond. West uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Lamond. West works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance. West avoids the head kick by Lamond.

That was a close round but I would say that Rami Harris will probably get the nod. Both fighters have cut men working on them during the interval. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Evans takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life. Evans just leaning against Xiii, taking a breather. The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Balor throws a sloppy head kick and White moves out of range easily. A telegraphed right hand from White misses the target. Balor throws a combination but it was largely blocked by White. Balor jabs. That one connects to the head of his opponent.

Balor throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd. Balor misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
White has his takedown stuffed and Balor cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Balor throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.

We've been hearing reports that Balor has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! White tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Balor manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Balor catches White with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong! White doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body. We've been informed that White has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result.

Lopez obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range. Lopez throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Morgan tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away. Morgan takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket. Lopez lands an overhand right. Morgan scores with a takedown into Lopez's guard. My spies in Death Valley Training Facility inform me that Morgan has been getting involved in the gym's BJJ sparring sessions. The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Marshal throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Marshal throws a leg kick which misses Armstrong's front leg but catches the back leg as Armstrong tries to avoid it. Marshal misses with a straight left. A big left from Marshal misses. Armstrong is looking to counter punch. Armstrong shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Marshal manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage. Armstrong trying to control but Marshal is working from the bottom. Marshal looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Marshal keeping full guard, as Armstrong tries to pass. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Marshal keeping moving, preventing Armstrong from controlling successfully. Armstrong loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Armstrong wants to control from the top but Marshal keeps moving.

Armstrong really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Marshal stands up from Armstrong's guard - Marshal perhaps looking for a knockout. Marshal looks to land a right hand but Armstrong moved out of range. As Marshal backs away, Armstrong returns fire with a leg kick that just misses. Armstrong has his takedown stuffed and Marshal counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt. Armstrong misses with a takedown attempt and Marshal counters with an outside leg kick.
Armstrong shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Marshal sprawls well. Marshal wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Armstrong gets slowly back to his feet. Marshal gets caught napping as Armstrong dives in and scores a takedown. Marshal manages to retain guard. Marshal pushes Armstrong off and scrambles back to his feet.
Marshal has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as Armstrong is landing a low percentage of strikes.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Marshal scores with a jab to the jaw. Marshal misses with an uppercut. Armstrong saw that one coming. Armstrong appeared to be looking to counter that last move with a leg kick. Armstrong fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Armstrong fails with a takedown attempt. Marshal keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Marshal misses with an uppercut. Armstrong is looking to counter the offense by Marshal and move into the clinch. Nice defenses there by Armstrong. Eliah Marshal is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Armstrong shoots in and bounces Marshal off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Marshal uses from the top position. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Armstrong is looking for a sweep. Armstrong is trying to control Marshal's posture but Marshal avoids it. Marshal has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Armstrong tries to get back to half guard but can't. Bruce Armstrong overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Marshal tries to avoid it but Armstrong manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Marshal to the ground. Marshal escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Marshal stuffs the takedown attempt from Armstrong. Armstrong gets slowly back to his feet. It seemed like Marshal was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it. Armstrong looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple. Armstrong looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Armstrong walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head. The fight moves into the clinch position. Marshal lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage. Armstrong wants to take the fight to the mat but Marshal manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch. Armstrong tries to pull guard but Marshal holds him up against the cage and eventually Armstrong drops back down to his feet.

His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Marshal breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Eliah Marshal spent the whole post fight interview bigging himself up. It didn't go down that well with the fans after a while as they thought it was a bit arrogant.
