0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Vito Corleone! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Louis Hudson! The judges for this bout are Columbo Gatti, Jonathan Paton and John Kavanagh.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Corleone ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent. A jab lands there for Corleone. Hudson throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Corleone's waist but Corleone gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Hudson off to one side. As Hudson looks to move away, Corleone throws a big counter combo but Hudson just gets out of the way. Hudson blocks a head kick by Corleone.
Hudson tries for a takedown but Corleone circles away easily and Corleone cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Horrible takedown attempt by Hudson or perhaps it was just good defense by Corleone, which made it look bad. Vito Corleone has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Louis Hudson. Hudson moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross. Corleone throws a nice head kick!
Corleone moves into range and lands a nice leg kick. Corleone lands a jab-cross combination. This has been an exciting period of action! Hudson walks into a straight right hand from Corleone. Hudson goes for a double leg but Corleone avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Corleone continues to drive forward. Corleone lands with a shot to the body. Hudson closes this distance looking for a takedown but Corleone circles away. Hudson gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Corleone counters with a stiff right hand.
That's one minute gone in the round. Corleone scores with a crisp jab that stopped Hudson in his tracks. Corleone connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt. Corleone lands a jab. Corleone stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Corleone wants it to stay on the feet. Hudson walks into a left hand. Good standup being displayed there by Corleone as he connects with a hook. Hudson misses with a takedown attempt and Corleone makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range. Corleone lands with a nice body punch. Hudson throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Corleone's waist but Corleone gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Hudson off to one side. Vito Corleone is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Hudson has a takedown stuffed. Corleone cracks the inside of Hudson's front leg. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Hudson tries for a takedown but Corleone circles away easily and Corleone counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Corleone scores with a hook. Corleone is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches. Corleone scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction. Corleone throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.

Hudson takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh. Corleone stuffs the takedown attempt from Hudson. Hudson gets slowly back to his feet. Hudson takes a kick to the body and keeps moving. Hudson bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. Corleone lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.

Corleone connects with an inside leg kick. Hudson misses with a takedown attempt and Corleone counters with a lovely straight right hand! Corleone connects with a jab. Hudson shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it. Hudson shoots in and bounces Corleone off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. Hudson stands up over Corleone, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head. Corleone wants to stand up but Hudson is controlling him. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Hudson is in close to Corleone's body, working some short punches and elbows. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Corleone has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall. Corleone seems to have improved his submission grappling technique since last time we saw him. Let's see if he can pull off a submission. Hudson chips away with some ground and pound.
Corleone is rocked! Hudson is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact. Oh Corleone is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!! Hudson gets to his feet and stands over Corleone, holding his ankles. He dives in with a big left hand that connects! Corleone felt that one! Hudson unloads more punches and elbows and this one is over! The ref has dived in to save Corleone from any more punishment!

Adams ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Wachipi moves away. Wachipi gets in close and instigates a clinch. Adams wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Wachipi has him pressed against the cage. Wachipi content to slow the pace in the clinch.

Evans stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush. Tootoo tries to work over Evans's front leg with a kick but Evans checks it. Tootoo throws a body kick, spinning off balance enabling Evans to counter with a crisp jab. Evans scores with a nice head shot. Evans throws a head kick that misses. Evans throws a series of punches but Tootoo avoids them all with ease. Tootoo connects with a single shot there. Jordin Tootoo seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Tootoo throws a hard body shot but it just misses.

Evans throws a sloppy head kick and Tootoo moves out of range easily. No joy there for Tootoo, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Tootoo uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Evans has time to react. Evans is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Tootoo tries to land a front kick but Evans steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed. Evans throws out a counter right but Tootoo avoids it with no problem. Evans gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there. Jab by Evans.

Wow, both these guys are really going for it! Tootoo swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Evans might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable. Evans takes a swing at Tootoo's ribcage but misses. Evans misses with a left hand and Tootoo counters with a nice low kick that buckles Evans's knee momentarily. Tootoo lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected. Tootoo missing with a left hand there. Evans was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one. Tootoo clobbers Evans with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise. Tootoo will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.

Tootoo is rocked! Evans throws a leg kick which misses Tootoo's front leg but catches the back leg as Tootoo tries to avoid it. Oh Tootoo is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Evans is throwing punches like he's double parked. Oh my word! Huge right hand from Evans shuts the power down on Tootoo. Lights out, game over! Evans is your winner.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:50 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Dai Evans! Dai Evans tried to hype himself up post fight but didn't word it too well and it ended up with him sounding like a bit of a tool.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Thrul looks to throw the jab but Hale is out of range. Hale takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor. Hale with a hook. Thrul wants to slow Hale down by chopping away at his legs. Hale misses with a leg kick. Thrul half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range. Thrul throws a hook but Hale avoids it easily. Thrul takes a shot right to the bread basket. Thrul gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard. Thrul is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Thrul manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Hale manages to get himself to full guard.

Thrul throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Hale works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Thrul is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position. Thrul tries to avoid it but Hale manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Thrul to the ground. Thrul escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Nice defenses there by Thrul. Hale fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Thrul manages to avoid it. Hale tries to land a leg kick but Thrul saw it coming and moves away.

Cormac Gutz seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Gutz shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down. Gutz connects with a jab. Gutz throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Hall slips a straight right by Gutz. Hall looks to land a body kick but Gutz moved away. Gutz looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight. Gutz throws a half hearted mid kick. Gutz throws a jab but it's blocked by Hall. Hall takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Gutz throws a quick inside leg kick. Gutz throws the left hand but Hall avoids the punch easily. Gutz fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Hall manages to avoid it. Gutz bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. Hall lands with a shot to the body. Gutz connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Gutz lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Hall at a distance.

Hall takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness. Gutz fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Hall manages to avoid it. A low kick from Hall is predictable there and Gutz connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. This has been an exciting period of action! Hall lands a nice looking body kick. A good leg kick by Hall. Gutz walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Hall checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side. Gutz with a jab.

Hall has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Gutz is working to avoid the ground and pound but Hall connects with a decent elbow. Hall is looking to take a break and control but Gutz is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Gutz looking for a sweep but Hall has passed into full mount! Oh no! Hall trying to control but Gutz is having none of it.

Hall bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. Hall will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.

Nice work there by Grice. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Teimosia is working the butterfly guard.
