An attempted straight right counter from Funkhouser misses the target. Holbert misses with a right hand and Funkhouser connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. A slow jab from Holbert misses its intended target. Holbert finds himself stumbling back on wobbly legs after being clipped by a right hand. He's up against the cage, ducking and weaving under Funkhouser's strikes but an uppercut finds it's way through and Holbert falls! - He's completely out of it and the ref jumps in to save him!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:56 of round 5, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Trenton Funkhouser! Trenton Funkhouser retains his light heavyweight title! Trenton Funkhouser bigged himself up after the win. The crowd seemed to love it.
