1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Jason Kane! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Gao Chao! The judges for this bout are Paul Aken, Radbod Blank and Aafke Stam.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kane is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Chao. Chao closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Kane quickly recovers to half guard. Kane is trying to get back to full guard. Chao wants to stand up but Kane is controlling the position.
Chao keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action. Kane moves into full guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Kane tries to land a sweep but no joy. Chao missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kane has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Chao can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Chao stopping the sweep attempt from Kane. Kane keeping moving, preventing Chao from controlling successfully. Chao missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Chao pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Kane is keeping the position for now.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity. Chao drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Chao works to advance to full mount. Kane defends for a few seconds but eventually he succumbs. Kane is squirming around, avoiding Chao's attempts to control the action. Kane can't escape the position.

Chao landing punches. Kane regains half guard. Kane wants to get back to full guard. Chao tries to stand and escape but Kane is controlling the position. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Kane gets full guard. Chao throws a big elbow that misses. Chao is looking to advance position but Kane has hit a scissor sweep - now he's on top in mount!

Chao closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Chao lands in his opponent's guard. Chao trying to control but Kane is working from the bottom. Kane has managed to work for a loose triangle. I think Chao should be able to defend this one pretty easily though. Oh, Kane has tightened it up now! Chao should have reacted faster there - he's in big trouble and yes, he's tapped out! This one is all over!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Gage fails with an attempt to clinch.
Gage moves to clinch but Lefty breaks away and Lefty cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Lefty looks to throw the jab but Gage is out of range. Gage looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it. Gage clinches with his opponent.
Gage's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. William Gage seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Gage tries to clinch there but Lefty circles away.
Gage doesn't succeed with the takedown and Lefty counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Gage tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. It looked like Lefty wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit. Gage closes the distance looking to clinch and Lefty counters with a straight right hand. Lefty manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Lefty throws a big counter combination but Gage scrambles out of danger and avoids any damage. Gage tries to clinch up. Lefty misses the shot to the body. Gage throws a counter combo. Lefty swats away the attempt to clinch by Gage. Gage tries to clinch but Lefty moves away and Lefty counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work. Gage looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Lefty throwing a counter right hand but Gage manages to avoid it. Gage tries to clinch up and Lefty counters with a straight punch to the midsection. That sent Gage stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly. Lefty misses with a wild body shot.
