Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Tim Fraser (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ramon Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Tim Fraser!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Ramon Silva!
The judges for this bout are Gwen Towbar, Wesley Smith and Chris Downing.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Silva shoots for a double leg takedown but Fraser sprawls well. He's pushed Silva's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Fraser stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Fraser wants it to stay on the feet.

Silva feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

Fraser is active off his back here, looking for submissions.

The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.

Fraser has his foot on Silva's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Silva works his way back into a safe position though.

Fraser has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Silva is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Fraser.

Silva wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Fraser, who protects the arm well.
Fraser tries to bench press Silva off him but Silva keeps the position.

BOOM! Fraser connects with a massive shot to the dome!

Silva is flailing around, obviously not happy about being mounted. Fraser locks hold of one of his arms and spins for an armbar. He's got it! Silva is forced to tap!

It looks like Gary Simpson has been cut.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
A head kick by Belfort - that's a beauty! Simpson is out but he's somehow still standing... he's going... going... gone. Like a drunk walking down the middle of the road, the inevitable face plant follows and the delayed knockout arrives. Even Belfort can't help but laugh at the bizarre end to this one!
