The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Brandon fails with the takedown.
Despite the aggression on Thomson's face he doesn't fully commit to the counter.
We've been told by Brandon's head coaches at V C L training center (HOME OF THE TRUE CHAMPION that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.

Brandon shoots in and gets a takedown into Thomson's guard.

Brandon postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Thomson is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Brandon, into his guard.

A less than humble Tyler Thomson misjudged his post fight interview somewhat and came across a little too arrogant whilst trying to hype up his own abilities.
