There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Braz shoots in looking for a takedown. James tries to sprawl out of it but Braz keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. James manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Shoei Braz. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Braz changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. James tries to avoid it but Braz manages to keep hold of a leg and drag James to the ground. James escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
James is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.
James lunges at Braz with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Braz's hand.

The referee calls the doctor in to look at Shoei Braz's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!

I think Gordon might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to S.O.B. - Nathaniel Rateliff & The Night Sweats. I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pete moves forwards but Gordon connects with a nice, crisp jab.
Mel Gordon seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Gordon scores with the left hand. Pete knows he should have avoided that one.
Pete avoids the head kick by Gordon.
A head kick misses from Gordon.
Pete throws a push kick but Gordon slaps the foot to one side.
Gordon misses with a leg kick
and Pete counters with a straight right hand.

Gordon closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Gordon digs a right hand underneath Pete's ribcage. Pete let out a lung full of air as it connected.
Gordon throws a punch but it's blocked by Pete.
Pete blocks an elbow strike from Gordon.
Pete struggles to land a body shot inside as Gordon controls his hands.
Gordon lands a damaging elbow.
Pete can't find room to land a body shot as Gordon controls the action.
Pete blocks the elbow strike.
With the fighters up against the cage, Gordon throws an elbow but misses.
Pete misses with a punch to the body.
Pete lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Gordon lands a left hand.
Gordon pushes off an throws an elbow but Pete leans to the side and avoids it. We're back to clinching against the cage.
Pete swings away with an uppercut that misses.

Pete lands a nice uppercut.
Gordon tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.
Pete lands with a light punch inside.

It looks like Mel Gordon has been cut.
Gordon throws an elbow but it misses.
Gordon throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Petes head.
Gordon goes for a body shot but it's blocked.
Pete takes an elbow to the forehead.
Pete lands with a right to the head.
A left hand lands to the body for Pete.
Pete throws a hook to the body. More of an arm punch but it's all scoring with the judges.
Gordon is breathing heavily.
Pete throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Gordons head.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Pete lands with a right to the head.

Gordon is rocked!
Pete lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards.
Oh Gordon is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Pete lands a hook to the body. It's hard to tell if that hurt Gordon or not.
A right handed body shot lands from Pete.
Gordon seems to have got his legs back now.
Pete lands a nice looking hook to the body, against the cage.
A short right hand to the side of the head by Pete.
Gordon's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button!
Pete throws a big uppercut that drops Gordon! More strikes from Pete and the referee jumps in to stop the fight! Gordon lies dazed against the cage as Pete celebrates with his cornermen!

Texas Pete decided to thank the fans in attendance for making a great atmosphere. It seemed to go down pretty well.
