It looks like Darth Vader has been cut.
Scar connects with a body shot that sends Vader's belly button to the back.
Vader shoots in looking for a takedown. Scar tries to sprawl out of it but Vader keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Scar manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Scar throws a big counter combination but Vader scrambles out of danger and avoids any damage.

Carter with a nice cross.

Carter fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Downe, pushing him back against the cage.
Carter working some nice short punches in the clinch.
Downe is looking to break free of the clinch but Carter has double underhooks.
Carter digs a right hand into Downe's ribs. Those have got to be taking their toll on Downe's gas tank.
Downe goes for a takedown attempt but Carter pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Carter tests Downe's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Good shot there by Carter.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Carter closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Downe quickly recovers to half guard.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Carter takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.

Carter maintaining the dominant position here and is working for a kimura. He's locked it up! Downe could be in real trouble here! He's trying to wriggle out but Carter has cracked it and Downe is screaming in pain - he's tapped out! Great finish by Carter!

Kent can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Logan controls the pace.
Kent wants to stand up but Logan is controlling him.

Logan stands and steps away. Kent gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.

Logan fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Kent manages to avoid it.

We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Shields has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.
Shields throws a solid leg kick but Kirby takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Shields.
Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.
Kirby cracks the inside of Shields's front leg.
Shields walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Kirby checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.
Kirby throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Shields has control of Kirby's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Kirby regains control of the situation pretty easily.
You get the feeling that Kirby really doesn't like being in this position too much.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Brad Shields has got the better of the ground game so far.

Shields working to secure an arm triangle but it's not happening for him just yet.

Shields has control of Kirby's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Kirby regains control of the situation pretty easily.

Shields is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Kirby to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Kirby shrugs it off.

Sinclair tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. De Ronceveux manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

Brett Sinclair seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
De Ronceveux takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.

It looks like Roland De Ronceveux has been cut.

Sinclair feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

De Ronceveux has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Sinclair off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds.

De Ronceveux feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Sinclair sprawling to the canvas! Sinclair rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can De Ronceveux finish him?!

De Ronceveux lands a big uppercut and Sinclair crumbles to the floor! The ref thinks about stopping the fight but Sinclair looks OK. De Ronceveux waves Sinclair back to his feet!

De Ronceveux throws a quick head kick that knocks Sinclair silly! This fight is all over! What a finish! De Ronceveux is up on the cage, taking in the applause from the crowd.
