The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Nurkkanen shoots in but Freeman avoids the takedown attempt easily. Nurkkanen shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Freeman pinned against the cage. Freeman gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Nurkkanen shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Freeman as he jumps to the side. Nate Freeman has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Miilo Nurkkanen. Nurkkanen changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Freeman tries to avoid it but Nurkkanen manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Freeman to the ground. Freeman escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Freeman throws a hook but Nurkkanen avoids it easily. Nurkkanen fails with the takedown and Freeman counters with a stiff right hand. Nurkkanen closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Freeman to the mat! Freeman manages to get full guard. Freeman wants to get back to his feet but Nurkkanen passes into half guard.

Nurkkanen is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Freeman is just riding it out for now. Nurkkanen eventually gives up the hold.

This has been an exciting period of action! Cousteau postures up in Amaral's guard and throws a big left but Amaral blocks it. Cousteau drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Cousteau jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Amaral avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.

Infact he's such a weird shape that he's almost like some sort of comedy character - it's hard to believe he's real. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Andersson can't do much from the bottom here.

Andersson has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Darko is really squeezing tight and eventually Andersson passes out! Darko breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!
