The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Lee closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
You can see the frustration on Melendez's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

Ohhhhh! A huge head kick from Egilsson! Max is out on his feet! Egilsson rushes in and throws more strikes. The ref is looking closely - Max is covering up but the punishment is just too much and the ref steps in to stop the fight! Max is staring into space, just thankful that the beatdown has ended. Brutal finish.

Cortez kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Wake Me Up. Murray is pushing Jung up against the cage, for a bit of lean and pray action. Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

A close third round but Sungwon Jung just about did enough to take it.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Jung, as that shot connected.

Jung misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Murray.
Murray shoots in but no luck this time.
As Murray backs off Jung throws a huge counter combo but Murray manages to avoid it all.

It's got to the stage where if one of these guys blows hard enough, the other might fall over.
Murray throws a body punch but Jung moves out of range.
Jung catches Murray with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!

Jung misses with a punch on the inside.
Jung can't find room to land a body shot as Murray controls the action.
A head punch on the inside from Murray fails to land.
Both guys are working to get underhooks.
Jung is leaning against Murray and scores with a nice uppercut to the body.
Jung is working Murray over against the cage.
Jung lands a body punch in the clinch.

A head punch on the inside from Jung fails to land.
Jung has a couple of punches blocked by Murray.
Jung lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Murray takes a shot to the head.

A hook to the body from Jung.
Murray has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Jung avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.
