The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Fiendish shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Takaki sprawls well. Takaki wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Fiendish gets slowly back to his feet. Takaki tries to clinch there but Fiendish circles away.
Takaki tries a head kick but it misses.
Fiendish closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. Fiendish stops Takaki from getting back to his feet.
Fiendish missing with some ground and pound from the half guard. Takaki tries to roll over but Fiendish keeps him under control. Fiendish working over Takaki with some ground and pound. Takaki looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable. Fiendish with the ground and pound but Takaki uses the opportunity to regain guard. Fiendish looking to pass the guard. Fiendish might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Takaki is controlling Fiendish's posture. Fiendish loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
That's one minute gone in the round. Takaki is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Fiendish has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Takaki wants to stand up but Fiendish is controlling him. Fiendish tries to free his leg and advance position but Takaki is retaining full guard. Fiendish throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Fiendish is trying hard to land a takedown here. Takaki sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. A good leg kick by Takaki. Fiendish will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Grimly Fiendish. That's going to take a lot out of him. Fiendish feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Fiendish throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Takaki works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Fiendish in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Takaki keeping moving, preventing Fiendish from controlling successfully.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Fiendish throws a strike but Takaki rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top. Fiendish on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Fiendish tries to get out of the position. Takaki tries to stand but Fiendish is controlling from the bottom. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Takaki stands up and waves to Fiendish to follow him. Grimly Fiendish seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Fiendish shoots for a double leg takedown but Takaki sprawls well. He's pushed Fiendish's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Fiendish closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. Fiendish looking to punish the body of his opponent here but Takaki is avoiding damage well.
Takaki regains half guard, as Fiendish was trying to land strikes.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Takaki regains full guard, whilst avoiding punches from Fiendish. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Fiendish postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Takaki pushes Fiendish off and scrambles back to his feet.
Fiendish shoots in but Takaki avoids the takedown attempt easily. Fiendish will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Fiendish fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Takaki avoids it really well and circles away. Fiendish misses with a takedown attempt - Takaki sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Fiendish is breathing heavily. Fiendish dives in and grabs Takaki's left leg, looking for a takedown. Takaki pushes down on Fiendish's head and hops out.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Fiendish fails to land the takedown. Takaki forces Fiendish back against the cage and clinches. Fiendish letting Takaki take a breather here. Takaki lands a nice shot to the body. Fiendish is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Takaki pulls him back up using the underhooks. Fiendish tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Takaki just stands there and leans against the cage. A short uppercut from Takaki. Takaki is struggling to control the position. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Kichiro Takaki will probably get the nod. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.
Takaki throws a head kick that misses. Fiendish closes the distance and clinches up with Takaki, looking for a takedown. Fiendish pushes Takaki against the cage but Takaki circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Takaki connects with a solid leg kick. Fiendish is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Takaki's half guard. Takaki looks like he's trying to stand up.
Fiendish with the ground and pound but Takaki uses the opportunity to regain guard. Fiendish preventing the sweep. Fiendish looking to sit in guard and control but Takaki gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Fiendish has a closed guard, preventing Takaki from standing up.
That's one minute gone in the round. Takaki trying to control the position from guard on top but Fiendish is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Takaki passes easily into side control. Nice work. Fiendish tries to bench press Takaki off him but Takaki keeps the position. Takaki decides to stand back up. Takaki steps back and let's Fiendish get back to his feet. Fiendish looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Fiendish avoids a low kick by using good footwork. Fiendish shoots in looking for a takedown. Takaki tries to sprawl out of it but Fiendish keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Takaki manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Grimly Fiendish. That's going to take a lot out of him.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Fiendish closes this distance looking for a takedown but Takaki circles away. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Fiendish tries for a takedown but Takaki sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Horrible takedown by Fiendish or perhaps it was just good defense by Takaki which made him look bad. Fiendish dives in and grabs Takaki's left leg, looking for a takedown. Takaki pushes down on Fiendish's head and hops out. Takaki throws a nice outside leg kick. Kichiro Takaki is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. A slapping leg kick lands for Takaki.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Fiendish. Fiendish shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Takaki defends it nicely. Ouch! a nice leg kick from Takaki, right into the meat.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Takaki throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.
Fiendish shoots in but no luck this time. Fiendish shoots in and drives through. Takaki sprawls well. Takaki connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there. Takaki lands a head kick. Fiendish smiles back at him and beckons him forward. Takaki scores with a slapping inside leg kick. Takaki chopping away at his opponent's legs.
Takaki darts in and clinches Fiendish up against the cage. Takaki lands a left hand.
Takaki lands a nice uppercut. Fiendish wants a takedown.
Takaki lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards. Come on Takaki - let's have some action - none of this stalling nonsense.
Takaki lands with a light punch inside. Fiendish tries to score a body lock takedown but Takaki shows good agility there to stay on his feet. Fiendish is hobbling a little on that front leg after taking quite a few leg kicks so far in this fight. Takaki gets through Fiendish's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Takaki lands with a light punch inside. Fiendish can't get the takedown.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Takaki controlling the action here for a moment.
The crowd are getting on Takaki's back here. They're not happy about his lack of aggression in the clinch. A short right from Takaki. Takaki controlling the action here for a moment.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Takaki stuffs the takedown. Takaki delivers a nice body kick. Takaki lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Kichiro Takaki showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! And we move into the final round!

Takaki keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Fiendish takes a kick to the side of the head. Fiendish shoots in for a double leg but Takaki sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Grimly Fiendish. That's going to take a lot out of him. Takaki feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Fiendish's calf. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Fiendish on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Takaki. That's one minute gone in the round. Takaki lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Fiendish backwards. Takaki throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Fiendishs head. With the fighters clinched against the cage, Takaki creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut. Takaki lands a nice looking hook to the body, against the cage. Fiendish tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Takaki just stands there and leans against the cage. Takaki breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Fiendish takes a kick to the body and keeps moving. Fiendish takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh. Takaki thuds a mid kick into his opponent's body. That will wear on Fiendish if he has to take too many more of those.
Fiendish will be looking to protect his midsection after taking some solid kicks to the body. Takaki throws a leg kick which misses Fiendish's front leg but catches the back leg as Fiendish tries to avoid it. Takaki thumps Fiendish with a low kick. Takaki turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick. Takaki has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Takaki scores with a leg kick.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Takaki feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Fiendish's calf. Kichiro Takaki seems to be getting the better of the standup. Takaki displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Fiendish. Takaki scores with a head kick.
Good leg kick by Takaki there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Fiendish has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Takaki is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet. Takaki stalling the fight.
Takaki lands a hook that snaps the head of Fiendish backwards. Fiendish jumps guard but Takaki stands there with Fiendish around his waist. Fiendish gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Takaki lands a left hand that snaps the head of Fiendish backwards. Some stalling of biblical proportions here from Takaki. Fiendish is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Takaki gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt. Takaki lands a left hand.
Fiendish jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Takaki walks away with a smile on his face. Fiendish gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head. Fiendish is trying hard to land a takedown here. Takaki sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. Takaki throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Fiendish. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Takaki throws a quick inside leg kick. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Fiendish. Fiendish on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Takaki. Takaki obviously looking to wear him down.
And that's the end of the fight! Kichiro Takaki comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I've got Takaki winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Faceman lands a nice hook to McGonagle's body. McGonagle takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes. Faceman throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean. Faceman thows a body kick. McGonagle tries to catch it but that hurt him. Faceman uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from McGonagle. Faceman dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on McGonagle. That did some damage! McGonagle shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Faceman napping and manages to drive through into side control! Faceman can't do much from the bottom here. McGonagle tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no McGonagle has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Faceman sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard. Faceman is holding on to half guard well.
That's four minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. McGonagle is keen to just control but Faceman is a slippery customer. McGonagle wants to pass the guard but Faceman is defending well. McGonagle trying to control the action but Faceman is working from the bottom. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Burnt Faceman dominated that second round. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!
McGonagle digs a good body shot into Faceman's ribs. Faceman throws a low kick but McGonagle avoids it. McGonagle has developed a nice purple lump on his ribcage, as a result of some heavy body kicks from Faceman. Good leg kick by Faceman there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
McGonagle closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Faceman to the mat! Faceman manages to get full guard. Faceman looking for a sweep. Not yet Faceman, not yet. McGonagle advances to half guard. McGonagle wants to take a breather but Faceman is having none of it.
That's one minute gone in the round. McGonagle has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount. McGonagle moves to back control.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Faceman trying to control the hands but McGonagle breaks the grip. McGonagle is remaining active here, looking for the choke. The more discerning members of the crowd will appreciate his efforts.
Faceman is keeping busy.
That's three minutes gone in the round. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Faceman avoids the strikes from McGonagle. Faceman staying busy and making it hard for McGonagle to control.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. McGonagle might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Faceman kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time. McGonagle is working for the rear naked choke. He has one arm under the chin but Faceman has hold of the other arm. A bit of a stalemate here. McGonagle patiently working for the choke. Which fighter will keep their nerve here?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A lazy left from Jokinen finds it's target. Jokinen darts in and out, connecting with a jab. Hotaru needs to keep his hands up - Jokinen had a free shot at his head there. Hotaru is looking to score with low kicks. Jokinen lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Hotaru throws a chopping leg kick but Jokinen manages to avoid taking any serious damage. Jokinen lands a jab to Hotaru's midsection. Jokinen misses with a straight left. Jokinen lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw. Jokinen is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches. Hotaru pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way. Jokinen checks a leg kick. Hotaru walks into a left hand. The fighters circling - Jokinen throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
That's one minute gone in the round. Jokinen is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot. Jokinen really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Jokinen lands with a straight right. Hotaru didn't see that one coming.
Hotaru is rocked! Hotaru misses with a low kick as Jokinen jumps back. Hotaru is still on wobbly legs! Can Jokinen finish him? The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Jokinen checks a leg kick. Hotaru seems to have recovered his senses. Jokinen lands a head shot. Jokinen jabs Hotaru right on the nose. Hotaru blinks but takes it well. Hotaru moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross. Jokinen cracks Hotaru with a nasty uppercut that draws ooohs from the crowd and sends Hotaru tumbling backwards onto the mat. He tries to recover but Jokinen pounces and lands a hail of unanswered strikes that forces the referee to step in to end the fight! Hotaru is not happy but he gave the referee no choice!
