The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Jones fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Cohen sprawls well initially but Jones persists and gets the takedown into half guard. Jones controlling the pace. Jones looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights. Jones is working for a submission here. He's got hold of the far side arm and he's looking for a kimura. He's cranking on the arm and he's got it! Cohen is tapping out! Ouch, that looked like it hurt!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:23 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Shawn Jones! After winning the bout, Shawn Jones thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Rodriguez looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Erickson changes levels looking for a counter takedown but doesn't commit. Erickson slaps away a takedown attempt from Rodriguez, before circling back to the center of the mat. Rodriguez keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.

Alberto Rodriguez seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Sirakov with a poor takedown and Ankjell counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work. Ankjell goes for a spinning back kick but it misses. Sirakov tries to score a power double leg takedown but Ankjell sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Sirakov somewhat. The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Motion clinches up with Lynch and pushes him back against the cage. Motion pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Lucas Lynch seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Motion decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard. Lynch kicks Motion off and gets back to his feet. Lynch tries a head kick but it misses.

Jackson is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage. Eric Jackson is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight. Tevez passes into half guard. Tevez not doing much here.

10 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Sigurd Vinci! The judges for this bout are Topper Green, Skip Squint and Steve Erwin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Simeon gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily letting Vinci counter with a right hand. Simeon shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Vinci counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Vinci. Vinci pushes Simeon back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head. Vinci lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage. Simeon goes for a takedown attempt but Vinci pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for James Simeon. That's going to take a lot out of him. Vinci rushes Simeon and presses him up against the cage. Vinci digs a right hand underneath Simeon's ribcage. Simeon let out a lung full of air as it connected. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Simeon tries for a takedown but Vinci manages to get underhooks.
Vinci lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage. Simeon tries to pull guard but Vinci won't allow it.
Simeon is looking to break free of the clinch but Vinci has double underhooks. Vinci makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut.

Vinci will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Simeon up against the cage. Simeon takes a shot to the head. Vinci lands on the inside with an uppercut. Vinci lands with a short shot to the head. We've been hearing reports that Simeon has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight. Still in the clinch, Vinci scores with a nice short uppercut. Vinci makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut. Vinci scores with a shot to the side of Simeon's head. A short right from Vinci.

It looks like James Simeon has been cut. Simeon is breathing heavily. An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Vinci. Oh Simeon is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Vinci misses with a punch on the inside.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Vinci dips a shoulder and cracks Simeon with a mighty uppercut! Simeon falls back against the cage and Vinci unloads with a barrage of strikes! Simeon is completely out with his eyes open, only supported by the cage! Save him ref! Eventually the ref decides to do his job and jumps in - Vinci screams abuse at the incompetent official before going over to celebrate with his corner. Brutal stuff!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Thorn slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range. McConnor dives in and grabs Thorn's left leg, looking for a takedown. Thorn pushes down on McConnor's head and hops out. McConnor's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Thorn connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! McConnor scrambles back to his feet. Thorn connects with an inside leg kick. A decent looking cross lands there for Thorn. Thorn scoring well with a low kick there.
Thorn feints with a jab and clips McConnor right behind the ear with a massive overhand right! McConnor is sent crashing into the canvas and Thorn leaps in for the kill! McConnor tries to get to his feet but Thorn is just battering him from every conceivable angle. The ref decides that McConnor is in need of a savior and steps in!

Cook wants to clinch but Coyoca slips to the side and Coyoca counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. Coyoca scores with a decent looking elbow strike. Coyoca is working away from the top position though. Coyoca is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! He's waving his arms around but his eyes are closed and he's not intelligently defending himself - the ref has no choice but to jump in and stop the fight! This one is in the books!
