No joy there for Cold, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Cold misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Mendes has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as Cold is landing a low percentage of strikes.
Mendes avoids a punch combination nicely.
Cold throws a right and a left that both miss.
Mendes tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Cold defends well and Mendes ends up having to push Cold into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.

Machine comes into the arena with Hell Yeah blaring out of the sound system. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.
