29 - 15 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Ali Seyedi! The judges for this bout are Elvis Blanc, Robert Douchet and Trevor Gratis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Good leg kick by Cave there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Seyedi lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Seyedi.
It looks like Nick Cave has been cut. Seyedi cracks Cave with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business. Seyedi tries a head kick but it misses.
Seyedi avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

Cave throws a big counter combination but Seyedi scrambles out of danger and avoids any damage. Cave looks for the body kick but Seyedi saw that one coming. Seyedi jabs Cave right on the nose. Cave blinks but takes it well. Seyedi chopping away at his opponent's legs.

Cave is hobbling a little on that front leg after taking quite a few leg kicks so far in this fight. Cave stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Seyedi. Cave takes a kick to the side of the head. Cave looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Seyedi fakes a jab and scores with a low kick. Seyedi rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Cave counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Cave on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Seyedi. Seyedi obviously looking to wear him down.
Cave uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Seyedi. Cave doesn't manage to clinch there - Seyedi circles away.
Seyedi throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Seyedi throws a leg kick that misses. Cave appears to be looking for a big counter. Cave takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.

Seyedi lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Cave has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Seyedi. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Cave cracks the inside of Seyedi's front leg. Seyedi darts in and out, connecting with a jab. A head kick misses from Seyedi.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Cave tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Seyedi is able to avoid easily. Cave's legs have taken a beating and he's really slowing down as a result. Seyedi connects with an inside leg kick. Seyedi throws a hook but Cave avoids it easily. Seyedi fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Cave on the side of the head. Cave misses with a combination
and Seyedi makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range. Seyedi lands a body shot.
Cave tries to score with a low kick but Seyedi moves his leg out of the way. Seyedi buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
A combination from Seyedi does no damage. Cave is looking to take this fight into the clinch. The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end. Cave misses with a double jab

Seyedi shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down. Cave tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Seyedi motions for Cave to come forward. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Seyedi does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy. This entire fight has taken place on the feet so far and you wonder whether Cave might be better served trying to take this one to the ground because he's losing the standup battle so far. Jab from Seyedi. Seyedi misses with an uppercut. Seyedi lands a leg kick that knocks Cave off balance momentarily. Cave gets caught by a big overhand right and goes down! Seyedi gets on top of him and starts throwing some serious punches until the ref intervenes and stops the fight!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kenmoghn will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Kenmoghn is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Kenmoghn shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Reynolds counters with a body kick that stops Kenmoghn in his tracks momentarily. Kenmoghn throws a combination. Reynolds tries to block but a couple of punches get through. Kenmoghn fakes a head shot and lands one to the body. We've been told by Reynolds's head coaches at Bi-Polar Asylum LV's #1 Public Training Center that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight. Kenmoghn fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Reynolds pushing out the jab but it's not landing. Reynolds tests Kenmoghn's chin there with a solid looking shot. Kenmoghn cracks Reynolds with an open hand slap. Reynolds misses with an uppercut. Reynolds slips under a jab. Kenmoghn keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Reynolds connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Kenmoghn dives in for a single leg takedown but Reynolds sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage. Travis Reynolds has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Niacisse Kenmoghn. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Kenmoghn.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kenmoghn fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Reynolds manages to avoid it. Reynolds blocks a jab. Kenmoghn misses with a wild body shot. It looked like Reynolds was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit. Kenmoghn shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Kenmoghn was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! An elbow from Kenmoghn crashes against the mat.
Reynolds tries to get back to half guard but can't. Kenmoghn in side control, throwing shots but Reynolds defends. Reynolds gets back to half guard. Kenmoghn thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Reynolds's head. Kenmoghn wants to free his trapped foot but Reynolds is holding on for dear life with his legs.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Reynolds tries to get to full guard but Kenmoghn has control of the leg. Kenmoghn slips a nice elbow through Reynolds's hands, connecting with Reynolds's forehead. Kenmoghn missing with the ground and pound from half guard. Reynolds is pressing down on Kenmoghn's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it. Kenmoghn chips away with some ground and pound. Kenmoghn won't allow Reynolds to get back to his feet. Kenmoghn working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Kenmoghn keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Reynolds's head. Reynolds is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage. Kenmoghn stopping the sweep attempt from Reynolds. Kenmoghn lands a couple of decent looking shots.

Alvarez tries to advance to mount but Aremis denies him. Alvarez throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage. Alvarez has knee on belly and moves into mount. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Aremis avoids a series of strikes thrown by Alvarez.

Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today. Smaug swings for the body but Griever moves out of range.

It looks like Cinder Smaug has been cut. Griever throws a head kick that misses. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Griever gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Smaug. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Griever avoids the head kick by Smaug.
We've been told by Smaug's head coaches at Bi-Polar Asylum LV's #1 Public Training Center that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight. Smaug throws a body shot but no joy. Smaug tries a head kick but it misses.

Smaug displaying good standup as he scores with a three punch combination. Cinder Smaug is winning the standup battle so far. Smaug throws a body kick, spinning off balance and Griever connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Smaug gets off balance looking for a body kick and Griever makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range. Smaug drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles. Griever lands with a big right hook that stumbles Smaug - he's out on his feet here! Griever follows up with another monster hook that separates Smaug from consciousness! Smaug falls, almost in slow motion to the canvas! Griever stands and admires his work as the crowd go wild.
