0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Brayson Drose! The judges for this bout are Alyssa Summers, David Schapiro and Jorge Garcia.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! The fighters circling - Benton throws out the jab but it was never going to land. Drose tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Benton scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business. Drose wants to clinch. Drose looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple. Benton misses with a double jab.
Drose moves in looking to clinch but Benton pushes him off. Benton avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Benton swats away the attempt to clinch by Drose. Benton throws a series of punches but Drose avoids them all with ease. Drose walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush. Benton scores with a jab to the jaw. Drose gets a clinch. Drose tries to pull guard but Benton won't allow it.

Benton is trying to force a seperation but Drose has the dominant position. Drose is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Benton pulls him back up using the underhooks. Benton looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now. Benton takes an elbow to the forehead.
It looks like Bob Benton has been cut. Benton takes an elbow to the temple. Drose fails to pull guard.
Bob Benton has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Brayson Drose. Drose throws an elbow but it's blocked.

Benton wants to stand but Drose has a closed guard, so he can't escape. Benton decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow. Benton throws a series of punches but Drose moves out of range. Benton stuffs the takedown attempt from Drose. Drose gets slowly back to his feet.

Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Benton lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Drose has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Drose and we're back underway with a touch of gloves. Drose uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Benton. Drose thows a left - swing and a miss! Drose tries to close the distance and clinch but Benton swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Drose wants to clinch up but Benton keeps it at a distance. Benton with a hook. Benton misses with a jab, cross combination.
Benton tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Benton cracks Drose with an open hand slap.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Benton throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Benton takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away. Drose tries to clinch but Benton moves out of range. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Drose. Drose tries to close the distance and clinch but Benton swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Benton lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
Benton jabs at Drose's body. Drose shoots for a double leg takedown but Benton sprawls well. He's pushed Drose's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Drose fails in his attempt to clinch. Benton connects with a nice looking jab.
Benton lands with a nice body punch. Drose looks gassed! Benton scores with a hook.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Benton is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot. Benton misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Benton will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Nice shot by Benton. Benton connects with a good right hand that stumbles Drose. Drose circles away out of range and recomposes himself. Drose is looking to clinch. Benton connects with a crisp jab. Drose shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Benton pinned against the cage. Benton gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Drose misses with a takedown and Benton counters with a stiff right hand. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Benton, as that shot connected.

Benton throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Drose shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Benton defends it nicely. Drose tries for a takedown but Benton sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Benton lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw. Benton throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Drose stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly. Benton lands an overhand right. Drose on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.
Drose is rocked! Benton throws a good cross that connects.
Drose is still on wobbly legs! Can Benton finish him? Benton dips to his left and cracks Drose with an uppercut! The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Benton cracks Drose with a big right hand that sees him stumbling back against the cage! Drose falls to his knees and Benton doesn't need a second invitatation - he rushes in and fires off several unanswered shots that force the referee to stop the fight! This one is all over!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Tuten looks to land a combination but Aoki avoids it well. Aoki changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Tuten tries to avoid it but Aoki manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Tuten to the ground. Tuten escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Aoki uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Tuten. Tuten lands with an uppercut that bounces Aoki off the cage and back into rage. Aoki shoots in looking for a takedown. Tuten tries to sprawl out of it but Aoki keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Tuten manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Tuten lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Aoki circles away quickly and effectively. Tuten swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Tuten scores with the left hand. Aoki knows he should have avoided that one. Tuten keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Shinya Aoki. That's going to take a lot out of him. Aoki fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Aoki throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Tuten's waist but Tuten gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Aoki off to one side. Aoki shoots in for a takedown but Tuten shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Tuten steps into range and cracks Aoki with a monster punch that buckles his knees! Aoki flops backwards and Tuten dives into his guard looking to finish!

Bong was covering up waiting for the punch and Lacey finishes the takedown easily into guard. Lacey trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Bong looking for a sweep. Not yet Bong, not yet. Both fighters really going for it on the ground here! Bong is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Lacey missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Bong wants to stand up but Lacey is controlling him. Lacey throwing strikes from guard but Bong blocks nicely. Bong pulls Lacey in close to prevent any damage.

Lacey jumps into guard, dragging Bong to the mat.
Bong has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Lacey is proving hard to escape from. Lacey throwing rabbit punches from the bottom - showing the judges that he's keeping busy. Lacey is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Bong defends well. Lacey keeping full guard, as Bong tries to pass. Lacey bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Bong's guard. Bong wants to stand but Lacey is controlling the position. Lacey is pushing down on Bong's leg trying to pass to half guard. Bong is fighting to maintain full guard but Lacey has managed to sneak the leg through.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Bong looks like he's trying to stand up.

Lacey is nestled in close to Bong, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure. Lacey is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
Bong actively working from the bottom here. Lacey is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Bong! Bong's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Some wild striking there from Santana.
Santana throws a series of punches but Wojciechowski avoids them all with ease. Santana misses with a two punch combination.
Santana throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

Santana tries to close the distance and clinch up but Wojciechowski swats him away and circles back towards the center. Santana throws a nice looking combination but Wojciechowski bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Wojciechowski darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. Wojciechowski seems to be looking for submissions.
Santana is looking for a sweep. Wojciechowski is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Wojciechowski in half guard on the top. He's looking for a kimura... He's got it locked and he's managed to free his trapped foot. Santana tries to escape but it's on too tight and he has to tap! Great BJJ skills there from Wojciechowski!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Dong shoots in looking for a takedown. Morgan tries to sprawl out of it but Dong keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Morgan manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Morgan tries to score a power double leg takedown but Dong sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Morgan somewhat. No luck for Dong with that takedown attempt. Dong looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard. Dong lands with a punch from half guard. It looks like Dong is going to stand back up.
Dong is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Morgan doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Dong. Morgan gets full guard. Morgan is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Dong chips away with some ground and pound. Dong wants to control from the top but Morgan keeps moving.
That's one minute gone in the round. Morgan is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Dong has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Morgan has his foot on Dong's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Dong works his way back into a safe position though. Dong postures up and lands a big shot to Morgan's brow. Dong got a little sloppy there for a moment and Morgan has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Dong has managed to get both his arms back between Morgan's legs - danger averted. Dong is in close to Morgan's body, working some short punches and elbows. Dong postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Dong pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Morgan is keeping the position for now. Morgan has his feet on Dong's thighs here. He's pushed Dong off and worked for a very quick armbar from the bottom! He's flipped onto his stomach and he's cranking hard on the arm! Dong screams in pain and taps out! This one is all over!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Porter walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Rood checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side. Rood avoids the body shot from Porter.
Rood looks to score with a jab to the body but Porter is just out of range. Rood shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Rood was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! Porter is looking to get to half guard. Rood punishing his opponent with strikes. Rood thowing shots but they're missing. Rood raining down shots from the mount!
It looks like Matt Porter has been cut. Rood goes for an armbar but Porter turns quickly into his guard - lovely anticipation from Porter. Rood is pulling down on Porter's head. It's preventing any offense from Porter, at least for the moment.

Porter stands and steps away. Rood gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game. Excellent takedown into side control there by Rood. Rood in side control lands a decent elbow. Rood wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Porter, who protects the arm well. Porter bucks up and manages to escape back to his feet! Matt Porter is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Rood uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Porter.
Rood darts in and out, connecting with a jab. Porter throws a nice looking combination but Rood bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Porter misses with a hook. Rood checks the leg kick nicely there.
Porter scoring well with a low kick there.
Rood lands a nice looking body shot.
Rood moves away from the strike by Porter. Porter will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Porter misses with a hook. Rood ducked under it nicely. Rood takes one to the side of the head.
Porter slips a jab and a cross from Rood.
Porter throws and low kick but Rood moves out of range easily. Rood scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. Rood throws a strike aimed at the side of Porter's head but Porter avoids it well. Porter regains half guard, as Rood was trying to land strikes. Rood passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Porter!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Porter working to try and regain half guard.

Matt Porter's cut is getting worse. Porter is squirming around, avoiding Rood's attempts to control the action. Rood has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Porter's face.
