The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Laranja keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Laranja is looking to counter with a shot to the body. Laranja shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Kalin sprawls well. Kalin wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Laranja gets slowly back to his feet. Laranja tries for a takedown but Kalin sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Laranja stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Laranja wants it to stay on the feet. Kalin defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Laranja. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Renato Laranja. That's going to take a lot out of him. Kalin fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Laranja, pushing him back against the ropes. Kalin goes for a body shot but it's blocked.

He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Kalin looks winded! Kalin has left one of his arms exposed and Laranja doesn't need a second invitation. He's isolated it and locked on a tight armbar. Kalin screams and taps out, obviously in a lot of pain. Hopefully there isn't permanent damage to that arm.

Slime throws a body shot but no joy. Slime fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Dela Calzada manages to avoid it. Dela Calzada looks like he wants to counter punch here. Dela Calzada shoots in for a takedown but Slime shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Slime fails with an attempt to clinch.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Morinoivcus is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Bidam. Bidam fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Morinoivcus looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath. Bidam works Morinoivcus's body with a nice hook. Bidam throws a head kick that looked like it stung.
It looks like Stanislav Morinoivcus has been cut. Bidam cracks a nice hook into Morinoivcus's ribs. Bidam has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as Morinoivcus is landing a low percentage of strikes. Bidam checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time. Bidam goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Bidam throws a 1-2 combo that connects squarely on Morinoivcus's jaw, knocking him onto his back! Bidam dives in looking to finish as Morinoivcus flails his arms in a desperate attempt to block Bidam's strikes! Bidam is raining down hammerfists and the ref stops it! Morinoivcus's desperate flailing just didn't constitute intelligent defence. Some people will probably question the ref's decision but Morinoivcus was definitely hurt and the ref saved him from taking unnecessary punishment. A fighter's safety is paramount in this sport.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:29 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Hwoarang Bidam! In his post fight interview, Hwoarang Bidam started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.

Bengtsson has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance. Ja has his foot on Ogle's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Ogle works his way back into a safe position though. Ogle lands a couple of digs. Ja looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.

Ja is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Ogle pulls his head out easily. Ja works his way to full guard. Good work. Ogle wants to control from the top but Ja keeps moving. Ja looking for a sweep. Not yet Ja, not yet.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Ogle sitting in guard here, content to control. Ja had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Ogle defends it easily. Ja has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Ogle is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Ja. Hwai Ja is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Ja is trying to control Ogle's posture but Ogle avoids it. Ja tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Ogle wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. Ogle is looking to take a break and control but Ja is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Ogle is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Ogle connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Ja some visible discomfort.
A lull in the action here as Ogle stalls from top position. Ghani Ogle has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Ja struggling a bit here. Ogle landing strikes. Ja is working to avoid the ground and pound but Ogle connects with a decent elbow. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Ja can't do much from the bottom here. Ogle wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Ja, who protects the arm well.

7 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Tommy Taylor! The judges for this bout are Shigeki Fujiwara, Ren Mimura and Yukihiro Yamamoto.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Carreon throws a one two combo.
It looks like Tommy Taylor has been cut. Carreon looks to land a combination but Taylor avoids it well. Taylor feints the counter takedown. Taylor on the wrong end of a nice jab. Carreon throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Taylor tries to counter with a clinch but Carreon shakes him off and moves away. Carreon seems to be moving with more speed, compared to his last bout. He must have been working on that in the gym. Taylor is clearly trying to counter these attacks from Carreon with a body shot. Carreon lands the left hand. Carreon comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range. Jagger Carreon is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Taylor showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Carreon.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Left hook, right uppercut from Carreon. Carreon ducks down and throws a hook to the body. Taylor with a lazy takedown attempt and Carreon counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Carreon lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Taylor circles away quickly and effectively. Taylor drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Carreon defends it well. Carreon lands a jab to Taylor's midsection. Carreon throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Taylor tries to counter by closing the distance. Carreon will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Taylor steps in looking to clinch after the strikes miss from Carreon. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Taylor on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot. Carreon stalks Taylor and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Taylor's face. Taylor staggers backwards, shaken. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Jagger Carreon dominated that round. The cut man is working on Tommy Taylor's cut. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
Taylor is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Carreon. Jagger Carreon is winning the standup battle so far. Taylor seems to be squinting his left eye. Perhaps he got a poke in that previous exchange. Carreon shows no mercy and swarms him with a barage of strikes! Taylor is backing up but Carreon catches him with a final right hook that drops him! Taylor covers up and the referee steps in to end the fight! Carreon Jumps to his feet and flashes his guns to the crowd. Oh yeah, baby! How'd you like them apples?!
