The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hansen looks to land a combination but Pride avoids it well.
Hansen tries to bum rush Pride with a series of wild strikes but Pride uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

and Hansen counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Hansen gets caught flat footed, as Pride shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.

Hansen's face is contorted as he sqeezes tight on the submission attempt - will he finish? Pride is holding on here and Hansen must be using up a lot of energy. Pride has gone limp! He's out! He's out cold! Hansen gets to his feet, tossing aside his stricken foe. Arms raised, he milks the applause from the crowd. Great submission!

Lohan went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected.

In the post fight interviews he takes time to thank his parents and everyone who has believed in him from the start. How sweet.

Johnson shoots for a takedown but Unikeko saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.

Unikeko has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as Johnson is landing a low percentage of strikes.
A momentary lapse in concentration from Johnson enables Unikeko to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Johnson manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
Unikeko sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Johnson's guard.
