The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Lim misses with a takedown and Gaffney counters with a nice uppercut. Gaffney fails with a takedown attempt. Lim closes this distance looking for a takedown but Gaffney circles away. Nice uppercut lands for Lim. That snapped Gaffney's head back.
Lim misses with a takedown and Gaffney connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Hamish Gaffney has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Yo Hwan Lim. Lim drives through with a takedown into guard. Gaffney working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Lim. We've been told by Smith's head coaches at Feed'em To The Lions that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight. Smith moves out of range as Gracie throws a body kick.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Gunn shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Gunn showed some decent athleticism there. Crazy is trying to get back to full guard. Gunn thows a huge punch but Crazy dodges it nicely.
Gunn wants to work for an arm triangle but Crazy is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

Some people will probably question the ref's decision but Faaloua was definitely hurt and the ref saved him from taking unnecessary punishment. A fighter's safety is paramount in this sport.
