And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are , Jack Bonds and Frank Antenori.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McGregor misses with a combination
and McGregor takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
McGregor shoots in looking for a takedown. Ortiz tries to sprawl out of it but McGregor keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Ortiz manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
McGregor stuffs the takedown attempt from Ortiz. Ortiz gets slowly back to his feet.
McGregor appears to be looking for a big counter.
Ortiz misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Ortiz changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. McGregor tries to avoid it but Ortiz manages to keep hold of a leg and drag McGregor to the ground. McGregor escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
McGregor lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
McGregor throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.

Ortiz dives in and grabs McGregor's left leg, looking for a takedown. McGregor pushes down on Ortiz's head and hops out.
McGregor throws a big counter combination but Ortiz scrambles out of danger and avoids any damage.
Nathan McGregor has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Oscar Ortiz.
McGregor misses with a series of wild punches.

McGregor lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!
McGregor shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Ortiz as he avoids it easily.

Ortiz fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with McGregor, pushing him back against the cage.

Ortiz escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
McGregor motions for Ortiz to come forward. McGregor throws a leg kick but it misses it's target.
Ortiz goes for a double leg but McGregor avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as McGregor continues to drive forward.
Horrible takedown attempt by McGregor or perhaps it was just good defense by Ortiz, which made it look bad.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
McGregor fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Ortiz avoids it really well and circles away.
It seemed like Ortiz was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.

Ortiz shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. McGregor eats them both and turns towards Ortiz to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.

That was a close round but I would say that Nathan McGregor will probably get the nod.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!

Oscar Ortiz has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Nathan McGregor is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.

I would just about give that final round to Oscar Ortiz.

I think Wooten might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Judas Priest- You've got another thing coming. Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!
